Does anyone else think that a scout should gain survival exp even if he is in someone elses camp. I mean not as much as if you built the camp yourself, but maybe a little exp would make be cool. Just a thought I wanted to put on here.

sorry, but i dont agree...a scout has to setup camp and actually use it...by giving other scouts xp, its like GIVING it away for doing nothing at all...just sitting.

i say no.. why should you? are you helping maintain the camp? that's the point behind the XP for it.. building and maintaining it. Now if SOE were to, say, put in a rule that said each scout in a given camp, subject to some cap, adds X to the healing factor of that camp. This would be a valid reason for giving XP to the extra scouts. Otherwise there's no real valid reason why you should get XP for being in my camp and vice versa.

its not like i think it should take exp away from the person who is the maker of the camp, cuz if ur in a group, and are wanting to work on ur survival exp, but there is someone is who making the camps, i just think it would make it a little enjoyable if somehow u gained a little bit of exp while in someone elses camp. but again, not taking exp from the person who made the camp. it wouldnt effect the maker of the camp in anyway.

how come you didnt post this in the scout or ranger forum?

i dont think youd have come up with this idea if camping xp wasnt so hard to get. this is a silly idea.

should all scouts in a group get scouting xp when someone harvests a creature? should everyone in the group get survey xp when someone surveys? should everyone in the group get crafting xp when someone makes a powerup?

i think you get the idea. its tough xp to get, but we just gotta deal with it.

Your in a camp, your out in the wilderness in a camp, ur surviving in the wilderness, why not get survival exp. If i am in ur group and u are surveying, i am not surveying, but if u made a camp and im in it, im suviving in the wilderness too. therefore i feel it would be a cool thing to maybe do this. i am not doing anything while u are surveying, but while the group sits in the camp, we are all surviving in wilderness.

i still dont agree, why should you (hypothetically) get xp from my camp? I know, you said it shouldnt take any xp from the camp maker, but all the scout would be doing is SITTING. unless you are offering to give out "sitting xp," theres really no point in giving out scout xp. you have to DO something in order to get xp...your comeback will be "but i'm surviving in the wilderness"--just walking through terrain is "surviving" Do you want just non stop scout-xp whenever you leave a town? be realistic, the way its setup now works fine.

i kinda like the idea of scouts making the camp heal better and getting XP that way, but maybe something to do later

right now i saw we let them smash the bugs and add the features already slotted to add

Everyone needs to stop complaining about Survival exp. That was the first scout tree that I mastered and I found it quite easy. It gets much harder up in the ranger tree, I'm up to level 2 already and I need 60000 just to get to level 3. There really isn't much room for complaining till you're up to this level. Not to mention that in the "In Development" section they have aleady mentioned multiple changes to the camp exp, so don't worry, it'll be better in a week or 2.

Survival XP is boring if you are soling, which if you are taking part in the scout class is kind of appealing,Taking off into the wilderness and surviing all alone...

I do think that a scout should get Survival XP for foraging much like Medics get Medical Foraging XP.As it stand Foraging is rewarding in itself for the food you obtain, but it owuld be nice to have an alternative to earing Survival XP outside of just sitting in a camp for 20 min..

All,

We've identified the boringness of camping and the need for additional XP granting abilities over in the Scout forum and sent them in to the Devs.

These are all good ideas. Why don't you come over to the Scout boards and discuss them more there?

Kill and harvest, and use maskscent and run around Lok or Dathomir. If it moves, kill and harvest, use macro keys for the harvesting.
