If you thought it was bad before, we are now in the 6th phase of the village which means all the Jedi grinders will unlock very soon. Just a heads up everyone.

I just hit a bunch of buttons and hope everything works out.

I dont think theres anythíng wrong with that actually. In the big picture and over time the ones most furiously grinding will aslo be the ones who ultimately get tired of jedi first. Truthfully ask yourself this.

How many Holo-grind Era Jedi do you still see playing? My guess is not many.

Everyone was so worried during the holo grind, the "Ahhhh Everyone will be Jedi!" and the continuity crumdgeons, purists etc...IE those who didnt want to grind or for whatever reason rejected Jedi on principle were all up in arms.

I remeber it well, yes the sky was falling with furious rapidity.

Well guess what?

The sky didnt fall.

Jedi didnt take over the game.

Not everyone has or wants to have a Jedi. You dont see Jedi everywhere.

Yes certainly we will see a few more, and yes they will very likely outnumber the active Image Designer crowd, but so what?

My guild has 62 members about 50-55 of those active on a regular basis. We have 0 Jedi, we have maybe 2 or 3 that will be ready sometime in January, and a couple more in Feb.

The thing is ultimately, the ones grinding hardest now are approaching Jedi as simply another profession to be mastered. For the most part they dont give one whit for what it means to be Jedi and because of that will quickly (relativly speaking)tire of it or spend most of their time on their second slot toon.

So yes, initially we will see a bunch more active Jedi, but it will trail off and stabalize just like everything else. Jedi is after all only 1 of the available professions in the game.

what we see the devs see, we see a problem and so do they.

Give it time and it will be fixed even if they don't tell you they are going to do so.

i'm one of the FS powergrinders, don't count on me giving up the Jedi grind halfway through or something. It depends on the person, although I agree that some people will burn out from the grind.

I know 2 ppl that have given up on the fs quests and 1 thats given up on grinding his jedi. Jedi isn't tough, just really boring to grind.

Gooney, you think that attitude is from the current crop? I'd go back in history if I were you and look at the serious hologrinders, who didn't care if it was jedi, had no inclination to RP, and no desire to do anything but "pwn" other players in PvP. I am currently a jedi padawan and I look forward to playing a jedi toon. Not because I can rule PvP, not because it's the so-called endgame, not because I think it's just another profession, but because I want to RP a jedi and have fun, and I know it's not just another profession. I don't want it to be just another profession. I want it to be fun and special. I want it to be jedi.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't like pointless grinds.
Thank you for reintroducing decay!!!
I like a complex, immersive world simulation, full of possibilities, challenges and roleplay.
I want a player driven, crafting-based economy.

Right, thats good. If you think your in the majority of player types grinding right now...well, I guess that could be a comforting self-deception.

Truth is that the majority of those hard-core grinding it are not like the RP type of Jedi or the type that will follow the Light path. Although there are most certainly some that are, its not like its some sort of universal constant more of an observation that seems to be true in most cases.

Just take a look around how many "Light" Jedi do you actually see?

Personally I see about 3 to 1 dark to light. Why is this? Has to do with cool factor, has to do with the need to PWN.Which is fine with me, I dont care what people do with their own play time.

Congrats on your unlock BTW.

Try other servers, and see if you can say that. reverse those numbers on flurry as an example. Each server is different, just as each player has different reasons for being a jedi.
