as far as I know you can surrender the skills just like any others.

I've submitted a CSR ticket where I ask them if it is possible to substitute One branch with another once you are a Padawan or higher. From the sounds of the Jedi forum it sounds like it is a no go. And thus alot of people will have to make due with what the Quest givers give them for completing a phase, rather than what they want. Unless of course they read a spoiler site and plan accordingly, I really wish I had done that atleast
Would have made everything alot easier.

I hope so.. I really don't have the skill points to burn on 6 FS trees
yes thats only 12 points.....but thats alot to me...
I'm TKM, MWS, 3040 fencer, 4400 brawler, 4040 artisan (gotta sell weapons ya know)
added with force crafting 4000 and force combat 0002
leaves me with zero points

You need to spend 24 skill points to beready for Padawan
Can you explain how these 24 skill points are distributed on the different branches and master boxes?

It's 1 point per skill... Master and Novice don't require points...at this time.

And it's just 6 trees? You don't have to master any of the particular "professions"? Just want to clarify.

not sure about dropping, i would think you can but i havent looked at mine lately.
from what i've read, melee/crafting bonuses do work for jedi, healing does not as Injury Treatment Speed etc is not a jedi skill. There is a good FAQ in the Jedi forum about the "Revamp" that discusses all the FS skills.

Hello everyone.
I have a quick question, and have read the FAQ's and still cant find an answer.
I have heard that you can only have 4 combat related branches,
and MUST Take 2 of the "other" branches (luck, persuasion, survey, etc.)
Is this true?
Trying to help answer some questions for my wife so she knows what to grind for.
Thanks in advance, and sorry if this question has been answered elsewhere.

there are only 4 combat branches, the reflex branch can aid you in combat. FYI, ranged accuracy and ranged speed are usless for jedi, melee accuracy and speed don't help lightsabers since lightsabers are not "melee" weapons unless they are being counted against melee defences...
But to really answer your question, you can learn any 6 branches you want, there's no limits in any way so whoever told you that is not well informed.
