Whats up guys...just curious as to what build the rest of the FS/Padawan community is using now that the long time FOTM feign death template has been nerfed. I live on a server where we have many ranged bounty hunters who do there job well. I dont believe in taking the hit to get off the terms and i would never run from a fair fight. So im putting alot of consideration into my starting padawan template. Feel free to share your your thoughts/suggestions on my template while sharing your own as well.
This is the template ive been focusing on as of late...
[[[Master Pistoleer/TK 4304/Fencer 4440/Medic 2000]]]
Now i realize skills will need to be dropped as i progress farther into my jedi template...but i will have to make those decisions as i go. The reason why i went with a ranged mastery as my offensive weapon is this. Like i said, Naritus has alot of dedicated ranged bounty hunters that are very good at what they do. I see and hear about TK padawans and Fencer padawans getting owned all the time. So i figure why not try fighting fire with fire. As for the TK bounty hunters, if a ranged bh can take a melee jedi, then why cant a ranged jedi(yeah i know it sounds weird take a melee bh?...I chose pistoleer above all other ranged profs for a few different reasons. The speed, the defenses, and i got a couple pretty uber de-10's
But then i chose the best defensive skill boxes from the fencer and tk profs to make a pretty defense stacked jedi padawan. Throw in the meditate skill and the ability to use stim packs and heal bleeds and i believe u have a pretty nice little surprise for any bh.
Please...any suggestions or constructive critism is welcome, thats why i posted.

If your far from going padawan then wait for the CU before making changes, f you are close and want to get started then here is my suggestion.
TKM = This will give you great offense and defense if you bite off more than you can chew when grinding.
Medic x/x/4/x = Great for heals if you start getting worked over.
Pistols x/x/4/x = Fan Shot for that added ranged attack.
Smuggler x/x/1/x = Feign Death, should you need it if TKM and Medic fails you.
Master Brawler = Intimidation2 and Berserk2, perfect for grinding, as well as some defenses.
If you notice, this will give you good bang for your buck, because TK and Brawer are related as well as smuggler and pistols. Only medic is the odd man out.
Good Luck,

Thx guys, i appreciate the input, im stuck in a weird spot though. Ill be unlocking within the month, and my fs grind is almost done, so i want to spend the time inbetween now and when i unlock grinding out the the temp i plan on taking into padawan. And from my understanding the CU hits in May, i dont think i could handle putting off my jedi grind until then
Btw, theta-chi, where did u go to school?

Oops, I assumed it was force sensitive skills..
But I suppose I will do something like a pike defense, some swords, and maybe meditate from TK.

You definitely want meditate in tkm so that you can use the jedi force channeling when you get there. I aint there yet so i dont know the particulars but all jedi recommend it. That would lead me to TKM. Maybe you could distract (lag) those bh with a lag pistol? I could be wrong (out of date) but a padawan shouldnt be too afraid of a BH as they have a plentiful non fs build. The problem comes in when you have nothing mastered I think. Can't remember exactly where/when it happens but a medium strength Jedi becomes effectively weaker to BH than a Paddie.
I think I will go the TKM, master Brawler, Fencer defense route.
And those mentioningthe CURB, I heard somewere that there is going to be a free template after CU. IE a blue frog. The catch is that you can spend as many points at the frog as you have spent when CU goes live. So keep those templates full. I am more worried about getting my alt to some crappy 250 point template than my main template as I will prolly hit paddy in about 6 weeks.

You are correct, they will let us re-assign our points.. By the way, your template doesn't sound half-bad. I just don't like the TKM part so I will probably master swords instead.

I really think that force channeling uses your existing unbuffed ham to enhance your force pool and somehow this makes meditate mandatory. Havent done it so i don't want to jump out on a limb.

Why aren't you keeping the speed line from TKA (xx4x)? That will easily double your xp if you're fighting unarmed.

Does that include FS skills? (like if you unlocked all six be able to fill all six with you other sp by givign up other skills.. even if it would have and extra penalty) i doubt it but still it would rock.

I am currently TKM/Commando/ some medic.
I think as soon as I get my xp done (gottta wait til phase 2 for the last unlocks) I'm gonna work on this one:
TKM
Medic 4 x 4 x
Scout 4 x x x
Novice Sabers (dunno if I'll get this before or after Padawan, since I imagine it'll be faster post-Padawan as long as I don't get hunted)
What is up with feign death? I hear it's basically been nerfed for pvp purposes, so I imagine it's no good for feigning agains BH anymore.

Ok, now I am really confused?
I thought that when you unlocked your padawan, it was a completely new character? Did I miss something.
I was looking at
Combat Prowess 0044
Enhanced Reflexes 0444
Heightened Senses 0040
LS 0400
Force Defense 4440
Force Enhance 0440
Force Powers 4004
Force Healing 4000
But, Am I thinking right here?
