Thread: New XP conversion rates just mean more mindless gameplay

I already have a char that is Jedi (meaning I am not doing any more FS grinding so not even affected), and I have to tell you, that the grind in Jedi is far less painful than the FS grind (and this is before the XP nerfs), although longer, beacuse as you're grinding Jedi, you get new commands and abilties to play with, so things are more interesting than using the same abilities as Master Pistoleer or Master Commando or whatever profs yo have to grind FS, as all you are doing is doing missions with the same abilities all the time, then have to spend 30-40 mins travelling Dath to exchange XP and carry on, and just gets mindlessly boring. My Jedi Trainer for my Jedi char is in a city, and easy to get to within 5 mins, and can get back to Jedi-ing almost straight away.
The grind in Jedi should be harder, but the grind in FS should be easier, as the FS isn't just the path to Jedi, its also the path to unlocking the 2nd slot, which we should get anyway, as other MMORPGs allow you to have 2 accounts on one server at once.
And all this because people abused grenades?? Well these changes just suck to the core, and wasn't the way to go to solving the problem.
People will now have to spend more time doing mindless gameplay than play the games more intersting content, or not bother with Jedi/2nd slotat all

SOE has shown time after time that they have no respect for their customer base. I believe the time has come for the customer base to demand action. Instead of just venting your frustrations on the forum boards, make a call to the customer service center, write e-mails to the developers or write to the head of SOE. If enough of the PAYING customers complain it might actually make a difference, unlike venting and fuming posts on the forums.

as for your response of posting the same reply in multiple threads, i really dont think it will work and i doubt anyone will listen to you. this is a game, if you dont like it, go play something else like chicken on a motorway

I pay my monthly fees just like everyone else does, and have dones so since shortly after launch, so forgive me if i demand soemthing more than the continual shafting that has been handed to us. But of course Paulo187 doesnt care because he has his alt already, A PRIME EXAMPLE OF IT DOESNT AFFECT ME SYNDROME, good for you.

i really wouldnt care even if i didnt have my alt. as you said, you get a continual shafting so why expect aything less. a few emails arent gonna make SOE suddenly think "oh wait a minute, lets just give everyone jedi cuz they all cried to us". If you want to get jedi then just stop moaning and get jedi. If all you wanna do is moan about you cant be bothered taking that long then go and be a medic or something (no offense to any medics 
)
People on these boards complain about the FS nerfs all the time when one thing gets changed every now and again, just wait until you get your jedi and they nerf evrything that everyone thinks is good just cuz they dont have it and they think its unfair.

But 100% of the customer base is crying for a 2nd slot, and these nerfs are not the way to go, they could have done so many other things, but this was the "easiest" for them.

Although Im done with the FS grind, this patch did effect me. I lost 17 good friends who are also casual gamers who just said they had enough nerfing. SOE did nothing to stop the powergrinders, instead they just slapped the casual (family men/women) gamer in the face.

The combat upgrade cost me about 60% of my guild. This is likely to cost me a few more. People do not enjoy the forced grouping, People hate having to be 'LFG' all the time. People want other things to do than just the mindless grinding.
Yes, there will be less new jedi due to this change. Simply for the reason that people are burning out, and cancelling their accounts. I highly doubt that this is a good thing, either for the game or for the player community.
And SOE: better believe there will be yet another bad backlash for this. You cannot market your product by promising jedi is within anyone's reach, and then make the entire proces of getting there so unenjoyable people quit.
