Well for me, SWG was a great game while it lasted. Everyoneis relieved about the group xpsituation that the devs changed back, but for me, it doesntmake a difference because I basically stopped logging on after the combat xp nerf.Likesomeguy on this forum said, they probably just did the groupxp nerf to make everyone forget about the 30:1 change. He referred to it as "pulling the wool over oureyes" andI could'nt agree more with him.The only goal that was worthwhile for me, and what brought me to the gamewas obtaining jedi. SureI had to get rifleman and carbineer, but that wasjust to prepare for the FSgrind.I had just startedmyFS grind that I thought was already too long when this wonderfulpubish came. Boy wasI pissed. What were the devs thinking? Ok, so the jedi population doesn't fit the timeline, big whoop. Theresalready many, many, jedi, theres no point of slowing down the population now.And I know the whole thing about the grenades buti guess nerfingthe grenade xp just made too much sense to do.Maybe screwing over legitimate grinders was just a great idea at the time.Making a game 2x longer and even moreboring is not the way to go, especially when jedi is the main attraction for new players.

I would like to thank the developers forbasically stealing my money and ruining an awesome game.

Needless to say, I will be cancelling my account sometime this month.

Thank you for taking the time for reading this angry former SWG player's rant.

So much of a gamebreak that you have to start an identical thread to the one you started earlier with the exact same post in it?

There's plenty of reason to slow it down. Jedi is going to get continuously revamped and nerfed. I've been casually doing the FS for a year, so I'm used to it. If you're so easily detracted by something like the 30:1 switch I encourage you to quit now because it's going to get worse before it gets better...

Oh, and don't let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out...

I have been gone for well over a year, when I quit the 2nd time it was because I grinded out every profession except for pikeman and armorsmith (they were way harder to master back then as well). Then I come back and its a completely new system (I actually came back because they changed the system otherwise I never would have). this sytem makes much more sense than the previous. Jedi should be hard to attain. I have put countless hours into grinding out the holo professions and now I have to do this new system yet I dont mind it since this makes sense to get the jedi profession.

Its only because the Devs give us it easy, then make it harder. If it was 30:1 since the village started then no one would worry and carry on and play the game.

Making shuttle wait times 10 mins, then 5 mins, then 1 mins is good

Giving us Mount and Vehicles instead of running on foot is good

Giving usships so don't need to planet hop via starports is good

but

Making XP come easy then slowing it down, is bad!

Making XP come slow, then speeding it up, is good!

Making XP come continuosly at a slow and steady pace without any intention of speeding it up, is OK

You're out of time, SOE The whole 2.5 months shouldn't have been. The game was fine up until Nov 15th. If the CU was worked on, instead of devoting time to the NGE (including the many months prior to November), the game could possibly be totally bug free by now.

My account cancels on 2nd Feb, which was a waste as only played game for 1 day to get the life day gifts, will be resubbing when creature handler, Bio-engineer, scout, and ranger return, oh and the FS village.

lol, what are you saying, the holos were waaaaay easier than this system and faster. The people who is upset about the new system, slowing down the new jedis, got all the reason, too many people got it too easy, to make pay the ones who arrived later, that way you are just bringing the game to a sure death, where no new players will come because it takes too effort and time to get a bit closer to the old players who had it so easy to become jedi.

You can say whatever you want, but the fact is now it is way harder and takes much more time than before, and too many people made it in the fast way, to make suffer the new guys, and this game will start to sink for that reason.

I am still laughing about that "if you were ever around for the holo days..."

Good riddance to BAD rubbish to all the NOOBS complaining about this! And I second..."don't let the door hit you on the A$$ on the way out!..."

This is turning out to be one of the best things SOE ever did... talk about a Noob Clean-Up operation

The whole idea of making the path to Jedi a long xp grind slog is the problem, it is just pure laziness.

It goes something like "Cant think of any new content, cant be bothered to change the system and make it challenging to make Jedi, lets just change the 3:1 to 30:1, that'll pass for content and keep em playing-n-paying for 10 times longer" and it stinks.

The whole hologrind argument is mute, anyone who actually went through the hologrind will tell you it was not difficult, it was just long and boring, same as the current system. Plus the majority of hologrinders did a large portion of it AFK or while asleep, thats how much fun it was.

um.... w.t.h?

if you remember, grinding profs was a lot harder back then, a lot of people unlocked on prof 28+, including having to go through BH and merchant. fora while, wooks didnt have armor (ya i was there for that), there were no bikes, and a slower grind.

these impatient little noobs, if they wouldve seen the fact that they probably would have had to grind 30 professions, i dont think theyd have done it.

even though i liked hologrinding, it was only faster for the powergamer who could do tkm in 1-2 days.

i have to agree. the holo grind was easy. anyone who says otherwise either didn't try it and was too busy x-server trading during christmas when they gave them out for free and was selling them at 1 mill a piece LOLor got stuck with a very tough skill on thier first holo, or simply wasn't there for it.

my first3 holos were: Image Designer ( took 5 hours to grind out) , Weaponsmith ( tookabout 16 hours spread over 3 daysand tons of resources),and Rifleman ( got bored at this point and stopped. at the time i wasn't really interested in combat classes.).

i do agree that the 30:1 ratio seems a bit tough , but i also have to admit i don't know what the FS grind was like before it because i just got tot he village 2 days ago. so for me this is the system. for those that had it easier before, this will stink for them.

i believe the system should be tough. If i wanted it easy i'd have gone to the village on mycharacter that did the holo grindand used his 2 free unlocks. instead i went to the village on my alt and will have to do just like everyone else who wasn't here back then.
