I been waiting 3 days for the Old Man . However a Old Man did show up in our player city yesterday but he says he has noting to say to me. Does this mean he is for someone else or is the game bugged? If he doesn't show soon does that mean he died of old age and I will never make it to the village to begin my missions?

It is the force check/inner glow - there currently aren't any in game glowy animations.

That is longer than usual of late, but it all depends on how many people ahead of you there is to visit. If he came and had nothing to say, he was probably after someone else. Stay around player cities and just do your hunting and he'll come.

hunting might not be the best idea. my friend ended up waiting around 10 days or so for the old man to show up, he was spending around 90% of his time hunting. the old man won't show up if you're in combat, inside a house, or in a npc city. if you're doing one of those things when the server decides to send him you'll get dropped to the bottom of the list and have to wait longer. my advise to to go shopping in player cities or siteseeing. doing that , you'll usually get the visit just over 24 hours after you start glowing.

Completely false. The old man has and does come while you are in combat, he is usually not seen in all the spatial spam going on so on that note, yeah it is better if you aren't in combat - but he will come either way.

When saying 24 hours. This meaning once you go glowy, you can log off for 24 hours and then start waiting. Or 24 hours on online time? Yes, kind of a stoopid question. But what the heck it is Monday..

Just time in general - doesn't have to be online. My second toon got glowy and I didn't play him again for a few days. Old man came on as soon as I logged inpretty much.
