Beast9156, thanks for your efforts in putting/keeping this thread together. A nice job all around and for the most part, everyone had constructive things to add. I hope someone recognizes your efforts and makes this a sticky. /bow

Force enhance IS a force power, I stated that no powers were used. Persistance doesn't equal knowledge. This is a help thread and stating what you THINK is true takes away from the fact that nobody really knows. Having a robe and lightsaber and title equiped has caused visibilty for many Jedi. I thought I was clear but you seem to enjoy arguing weak semantic ideas.

OK, whatevs, this does little to add validity to your statements since this is fairly far-fetched also.

1) dont expect to be uber 1337... you will suck royally for a while... deal with it... you will get better in time.
2) expect to see HORRID exp.. welcome to the grind... jedi exp is about 1/5th of weapon exp
3) do not "showcase" your new LS in any city or to ANYONE unless you enjoy BH owning you for about 2 hours.
4) wear your robe only in the middle of nowhere. Fora noob jedi it gives you +250 force power and +1 FP regen per second. MYTH WEARING ROBES DO NOT AFFECT VISIBILITY
5) do not hunt on endor or dathomir and be very careful on even yavin unless you enjoy having your ass handed to you on a platter. ONLY WHEN YOU HAVE DOUBLE BLADED SABER IV
6) stay buffed at all times if possible
7) to get rid of visibility you must not use your force powers and be logged in. Sit in your private house for a hour or so after every session to erode your visibility. (works for me)
8) if you see a BH and you aren't a master saber (or at least saber 4/0/4/4
with force run 1 and a least healing 2-2-0-0 run... dont be a hero or you will be dead. (and will loose 230k jedi exp upon cloning, if you get rezzed however its only -30k)

10) you can and should wear bio engy'd clothing... anything that will provide dizzy/kd defeses and bleeding are great. we jedi have no innate defenses to melee, but saber toughness does protect you somewhat.
11) visit your local chef and get mind food and some +1000 to health and action food (name escapes me) pop it if you see a BH comming for you or are about to die
12) make friends with lots of doctors... they can save your ass and rez you if you do die... take note of any in the city you were just in to they can come help you.
13) hunting in a group of more than 2 isn't safe. the more people around you the more visibility. IF THEY ARE OTHER JEDI DOES NOT AFFECT VISIBILITY.
14) if a shuttle of ST's suddenly lands near you, you are on the terminals and a BH will shortly follow (happened to me 3 times) YOU MUST HAVE BEEN A REBEL AND GOT SCANNED

3) Do you get visibility with your LS equiped but not out? NO, IT IS ANOTHER MYTH
4) Do aggro npcs give visibility, such as jantas? ONLY IF YOU KILL THEM USING FORCE POWERS OR LIGHTSABER
Oh and one more, how close to someone do you need to be to get visibility? JUST KILL A NPC OR PLAYER

I group only with my pet so to get the Group bonus without getting vis points. FIND ANOTHER JEDI PLAYER ALSO I HUNT IN SOLO GROUPS NO VISIBILITY
I hunt out of an old player city that is about to Poof (not sure were I am going after it does poof)
It's a less populated area. LOL PARANOIA TO THE EXTREME
I run as soon as I see ANYONE coming (even if its other jedi who ride by me) DEFENIATELY 1000 XP A DAY WITH THAT PARANOIA

Ok what iam finding out Imperial Scanning does add visbility if scanned you better be an Imperial Second Lieutenant when scanned it will add visibility. Why Robes and especially lightsabers are contraband. Like i siad so before and will say so again i have other people running the test stick with Jedi Only groups those who are non-Jedi will add visibility if your with other Jedi it will not add to visibility. Robes, Title, Lightsabers equipped do not add to visibility. My suggestion is this stay away form Imperial Crackdown Groups. Stay away from POI's especially if you used force powers because force pwoers do add up. Too visibility. ie. Your in Squill Cave and used Force Powers and a large group of non-Jedi come in the cave and your using ordinary wepaons I have no idea how long Force Visibility lasts but do not go there for awhile get a Master Doctor come to you buff you up fast and theory is Force Run adds to visibility. Instead of arguing let us do this wear robes and equip lightsbaers and tags overhead. And, find out daily routine. Because this is one person and come back with positive feedback and I have lightsbaer in hand wear robes and tag up which means it odes not add to visibility. Then start using Force Powers. Rooftop grinding heeheehee you are on terminals for sure because your constantly grinding force powers you would be highly visible. And, now how long does duration last no one knows but have been on terminals for over 4 days straight. Everyone who has used saber and heal only do not get on terminals. That has been proven several tumes on the forums. Just don't get paranoid about BH Terminals. And, if your on a high population server ie. Bria too many players and you will definately be visible a lot more than if you were on one less populated.

Really nice post! You may want to look at the discussion items and 'clean up' the main post with a detailed Question and Answer section, general acknowledgements at the bottom.
I'm glad to see the 'next generation' of jedi having fun. It does start very tough, but gets better faster. If you plan to master lightsaber (which I recommend given it gives the strongest attack and defence mods!) then I would suggest starting with the lance saber (XX4X) since it does considerably more damage. If you expect to PvP soon, then the 1H saber is a 'must' since mind damage is king in PvP. I do believe the lance will make levelling considerably easier.
Some jedi skills are really handy during your levelling- heal self damage for single stats and all, and force run 1.
If you have the option, try and hang out with a higher level jedi who can /forcetransfer to you to get you past the first few saber boxes a lot faster. If anything, it gives you someone to chat to while levelling.
BH - don't panic, but try and plan an escape route in advance. Or keep a doctor and allies nearby to help you Rez. 30k xp loss later on is not 'a lot' but early on it's a major setback. Don't trash talk the BH, and try to laugh it off. You'll be hunting them later on, trust me
