Here is a useful tip for new Padawans:
If a BH does attack you, regardless if they get the kill, don't talk smack! lol Getting killed by a BH, or killinga BH with your mission does not get you removed from the terminals. So if you talk smack to the BH, they can simply repull your mission and hunt you again.
I always made it a point to kill my mark again if they sent me hate /tells after the confrontation. If I kill a mark, and the first /tell I see from him/her is "Good fight" or "Nice job" I never repull their mission immediately, or hunt them again that day.

If I was a Jedi Initiate would I been attacked by BH's?
No , only at padawan can you gain visibilty .
Additional tip for new padawans is to pick up some additional novice professions. Once i learned novice LS I was able to quickly pick up novice healer, enhancer and defender which helped my force pool and regen rate emensly.

nioblack wrote: Great Thread! 1. I think adding Novice Jedi Defense is a must. It only costs 20K XP and you get a nice bump in skill mods on top of the 200 Force power and +1 regen. 2. Another posted tip was to complete the Hero's quest for the Rez ring. Can someone discuss strategies for defending your padawan once a BH attacks? I would guess: 1. Keep your bike out at all times 2. Jump on your bike when you see a blue dot racing towards you 3. Head to your safe house and wait it out Thanks!
Beast9156:
Some strategies i use is:
Get force run 1 asap (saved me a buncha times)
if you dont have FR1 then keep your speeder very close (but BH can kill speeders, and do, so have 3 in your datapad)
have a "false weapon" for around town and even hunting... if you see that blue dot it could just be a passerby but if they see a LS they may have a BH friend... sometimes if you just quickly switch to your false weapon from your LS and shoot at the mob instead of have your LS out it can save you some hassles.
ALWAYS keep your LS on your toolbar if not always equipped.
dont be a hero, there is no shame in running.
p.s. glad my thread has helped you and thanx to all those that post here

OK here is the big question that we all want to know the answer to, we've got novice everything, maybe LS 0-0-1-0, what should we be hunting? I'm asking this generally because the other skills that we have, e.g. TKA/Fencer, etc, etc, do not actually effect the amount of Jedi XP recieved for the kill. So assuming that we all have enough force power to spam low-lvl specials to our heart's content, which mobs have the best HAM/XP ratio? (i.e. Does anything beat the noble Quenker?)

Yavin is very nice for starting jedi. wild spawns have LOTS of critters in them and its generally sparsly populated (just dont go near geo caves)
99.5% of the critters dont DB, just got poison to worry about but you can avoid spiders.
I would say stay away from dath and endor as you will be spending ALOT of time there once you get higher in your LS.
try to get at least healing 1-1-0-0 asap ... will help alot.

Tamany:
Is there a way to avoid the bomb droids when you are in your house?
answer:
Yes! droid detection devices... those once useless decorations if you put them in fron of your door

Do you generate visibility if you do missions or other stuff but use your old profession like master TKA in my case?

what about LS crafting tools? Saw a post earlier. Can you trade them? Can we buy a >+15.0 tool??
Yes, you can buy (or be given) +15 LS tools, and use them with a high quality crafting station. I built a safe house in a research center city with an experimentation bonus, and use my +45 station with my +15 tools, works very well.

/bumpage for a great post!
A few things:
1. To me, Feign Death is a must have, if you can't roll deep with other jedi's training alongside you. Get all 4 boxes in Dirty Fighting if possible. This is also nice to use in harvesting 64k+ lairs because you can tap a lair, FD, grab a drink, snack or whatever, kill mobs, rinse and repeat. It breaks up the boredom of grinding.
2. Keep your visibility to a minimum by traveling between mobs with your robe/saber unequipped just in case you comewithin range ofother peeps/npc's.
3. If you roll into a battle and equip your robe and saber, make sure to unequip your comp helmet, gloves and psg before you start fighting. (thats happened to me a few times :smileytongue
4. Make friends with one or moreBH's that has at least investigations 3 and ask them to check the boards for youonce in a while.
5. If you fall in combat to a BH, never, ever resort to smack talking. Chances are good that youjust lost to someone who would enjoy nothing more thanputting you into morexp loss and is extremely good at whatthey do. Once you have made a "name" for yourself, expect his/her guild to be on your ass for a long time. Respect goes a long ways.
6. Learn to take the good with the bad. Shake off the occasional death, learn from your mistakes and move on. Always be willing toshare what you have learned with others.
7. Smile once in a while, its just a game!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some more advices:
1.Never wear ur saber, even closed unless hunting.Doesnt give visibility but anyone can just follow you and put you on terminals. Of course dont go over there with ur (Jedi N00b) title over ur head
2. Make ur char unsearcheable.
3. When hunting, while those boring moments, use the search button for bounty-hunters. Somedumbass BH wear their title and search goes around 1000m.
4. Docs are ur friends!! Or have a doc on ur alt account. He can go rez you and save GOOD xp.
5. Dont take unnecesary risks. If you think u have taken a lot of visibility dont grind more than 1 buff session, just log ur alt and go kill some NS/Krayts for your crystal needs

I am a New Padawan (Unlocked after pub 9)
Here's how I hunt
I only wear my robe and bring out my LS when I am out in wilderness,
I Hot key my normal outfit incase anyone comes around I can pop it on real quick.
I hunt very close to a safe house... Somewere I can run and log out without being killed.
I group only with my pet so to get the Group bonus without getting vis points.
I hunt out of an old player city that is about to Poof (not sure were I am going after it does poof)
It's a less populated area.
I run as soon as I see ANYONE coming (even if its other jedi who ride by me)
I take my time and pace myself.. This is not a race this is a long road that I will finish in time...

Thank you all for the input Us new jedi need to help each other enjoy the game. On that note I have some questions on my own
I am master Doc master 2 hand Once I get initiateI will use my alt for master Doc and dancer musicina 4000 with +25 to mind/musician edhance suit lucky me on getting that suit.
Ineed some direction on not only what to train but what is availible. I have seen some of the jedi trees but I wanted some more specific info. okay hers some ?s
--What is needed to get from initiate to padawan? You have to finish the padawan trials and poof you're padawan
--Are there skills u need first or is it just alot of xp? You have no skills at first only the robes and the training saber you constructed during the trials
--If xp how much. You need 20k jedi xps (that you will have to earn with your training saber) to start taking boxes like novice lightsaber.
--Once I get padawan is force run the first row? No, start with lightsaber first, combat is the only way to make jedi xp
--If so what novice tree is that in? It's in the enhance tree, but go with lightsaber first
--What should I do after force run1? Check answers above
--I heard healing ok what skills should I get b4 I start doingLS Same
--Once Im ready to get LS how should I work it? Double bladed for the area attack in the first box then you decide
--Please let me know a good order to train I love knowing whereto go on the road to jedi. Get lightsaber novice and all the beginning boxes at first if your template can spare the SP.
Thanks for all your help .may the force be with u
hope it helps

First off let me state that this is what works best for me, it might not for others.
I'm in a diffrent class when i come to how to gind jedi, but this is what works best for me. I have channel force and this is a must for this kind of grind. I'm 0143 on lightsaber. I have lotof low speed pearls (for right now it 3 -.49 speed in a third gen). I use the best speed crystals pearlsI have, but you have to have all buffs, dance musicin, and doctors. I have all my stats migrated to my mind. Keep a lot of brandy on you and vercupti (this is a must it give you an around 800-1200 to health action and mind). You'll need the vercupit if you get in trouble. At my levelI run giant baz nitch missions. Back when i use my low force cost first gen saber Icould bring in around 150K every 2 hours. Now thatI switched to a much faster 3 gen i can make any were from 250K to close to 300k in the same amount of time.
Some one said in a past post here that the ham regen was slow for channel force, they were wrong. It's not that slow and regens a lot faster than your force pool. You might have to channel force once per lair, but it will not take your ham down far enough to be a problem. When you finish off the lair channel force till your force bar is about full and drive to your next mission. By the time you get there your ham will be completly regened. I went from taking about 400 bf down to about 100 because I kill them a lot faster, even though I kill 3 to4 time as many creatures.
Like i said this is what works best for me, and just though that I would put it out there for others that it might work for also.
