Ah, so here we have the rub of it. Normalize Jedi? Why? So people can have instant gratification? Let me tell you something, the biggest threat to this game is the contingent of whiners asking for it to be continually made easier. Easy = boring. Take away the challege of Jedi and this game will fold.
Jedi isn't something bestowed upon a select few. Its open and available to EVERYONE. If you don't have the patience to get it, you only have yourself to blame. The reward needs to be in line with the challenge, to that effect Jedi need to be more powerful than normal professions.

Ok, you work your butt off to unlock a profession that is just like any other? Now why would anyone do that? Opps, I forgot, your going to hand it out, so everyone will be a Jedi, and we can just rename this KOTR3. AS far as Jedi being uber, where did you get that idea? We are taken apart by stackers every day! No, Jedi are not over powered, and no Jedi do not need normalized.
Ya know, I'm not one to flame, but I have to ask, what on earth did you base this on? Are we even playing the same game? Frankly, I think you need to learn a bit more about Jedi progression, the unlock process, and SWG, and then make an informed post, this sure as heck is not one. What you suggest would kill SWG, flat out. Jedi needs to be desiriable, hard to obtain, and worth the effort. If you were to ask new players why they start playing this game, what do you think they will say? If you ask people what their goal is in SWG, what do you think they will say....Jedi. Hand people Jedi, or make it less then desired, and they will quit buying the game, and more importantly, cancel------------------- People like you need to put on the breaks, slow down, and enjoy Journey, it should be at least as good as the destination.
Kovev, you are taking this too far with your posts, if we the PAYING public take this crap from the devs then this game is DEAD.
pure and simple. all the devs need to do to keep money coming in, is give the public Jedi. thats it. no other benefit would keep players here. so heres a random poll.
YOU answer it truthfully too Kovev.
Q) the devs decide to reintroduce Permadeath for ALL jedi. They also improve the bounty hunter skills to be able to take on and defeat a jedi knight. Would you Still play?
A) Yes, gives me a challenge. (ie, one chance at jedi, if your killed. Jedi you will not be)
Ai) No, i will leave the game right now
which would you chose?

Sure Zero, why don't we forget xp, you just choose what blocks to fill when you start. Oh yea, you can key in how many creds you get as well, and choose whatever gear you want. What exactly would be the goals left for players? Many, many, players are goal driven.......heck, I bet they ar ethe vast majority.

Lay off you take his point the wrong way and shi* on it, grow up.
First, Jedi won't be changed, no buts around it, the Devs won't change it, maybe Tiggs could help but one Dev alone can't change the game without gettint help from the others.
Second, Think about how much money it takes for a casual gamer to get Jedi over the course of however many months. Factor in the fact that people have lives and don't play everyday and have girlfriends/boyfriends, friends, school and other social events they can do.
Third, Back to the big Dev screw up, "quest-based" no wrong, completly wrong. grind based.
Once again, back to my original point, your loosing players, SWG, and if you all don't get the CB right, your game WILL die the majority of players PVP and PVE and if you mess this up, it takes the "ground" so to speak out of the game and your left with nothing. if you dont have a ground, you dont have anything to build on, like a Pyramid.

I believe that the Devs intended people to get Jedi just by "playing the game", converting XP they gained along the way, but they were quite naive. With the goal being Jedi and, the XP requirements being so high, and gamers being the way they are, it was inevitable that this became a grind.

For one, quit being so negative, I don't want to see this thread locked. Another, this game won't die, like i've said, i've played WWIIOL, that is a game that has been on the downfall for years, having only 1,000 players or so, and the updates/fixes come every 4-5 weeks...
This game has a much larger player base than WWIIOL especially, it is owned and created/fixed by a much much larger company also... Not to mention being a much more popular subject than a simulation of WWII before the USA...
Again, don't be so negative for pessimistic. There is nothing worse in this world than negativity and pessimism... We are all gamers who love Star Wars, and who like this game. Lets debate/discuss this subject like respectful people and not bash and flame each other endlessly...

It wasn't only you, it was directed to the others too...
I have played this game since October...
I am a Novice Rifleman at 0100
I am a Novice Architect at 0100
I am a Novice Merchant at 0003
I am a Alliance Recruit at 1111
I am a Medic at 2202
I am a Scout at 3040
I am a Brawler at 2000
I have only 130k credits
The most amount I've ever had is 150k credits
I am in a guild
I have 51 badges, 30-35 of those are exploration
I play 5-12 hours a day, 7 days a week
However I haven't mastered any profession, I still have 1 badge till I'm glowy...
I would just like to know why this game has to be so time consuming and hard, why can't they change it so it's friendly to those looking for a challenge and those who want to play the easy way?
