Bugg'ed and stress'ed. help me unlock

Bugged and really frustrated because this would had been my last unlock....

This is not my problem, nor will it be a problem for me as I unlocked Melee Defense and have no interest in Ranged Speed. However, as someone who is making his laborious and slow way through the FS grind, I can appreciate how frustrating this must be for people. This is a bug, as it would appear from the misison and discussion last time this phase came around, that you would have to do the quest twice to unlock both branches. Moreover, you only get the quest reward if you unlock it for Ranged Speed rather than Melee Defense.

Either the functionality of this quest needs to change, or the people coming back for a second time around need another head count to collect to differentiate the quest enough for system to award both skill line unlocks. Collecting some Thug scalps might help people all around on this phase.

it sucks, if you ask me , why dont the devs just put a new npc for melee def and a differnet npc for renged speed. pretty stupid to make on one guy

IT also effecting me and i took the melee defense quest last phase four and failed it and cant retake the quest as the captain think i have completed the quest.

Come on devs how about a little word that you know and are working on this bug

Remember, some people are NOT bugged, so this is clearly an error and not just "well i guess you are only supposed to have one of the 2 skills". I know people who have both now because for whatever reason they weren't bugged.

I need speed to get my final unlock also and it is broke. Me and others have submitted bug reports and gotten an answer the SOE is well aware of this problem and working on it. The bad part is that they also state that unfortunately there is no timeframe for this to be fixed. That does not bode well for us. This is very bad I agree. We can only hope they figure it out soon. Until then we are pretty much stuck and left to vent here as our only option.

I too did melee last phase, completed with no reward. The captain let me take the ranged with no prob this time, I am almost done. Maybe I am not bugged or maybe it depends on which one you did last phase 4? Either way this HAS to be fixed for everyone depending on this to finish the village!

I think the fact that some people got both without one being a free unlock was a bug, and it is not like the players were not told about this when Son Gokui made the revamp guide, look here:

Combat/Reflexes: Village Assault!

FS Branch Unlocked: Combat Prowess: Ranged Speed OR Enhanced Reflexes: Melee Defense

You can unlock either Melee Defense or Ranged Speed with this quest, at the beginning of this quest you will be given the choice of which you wish to pursue. Note that the choice of unlock that you choose will impact the reward item that you receive.

It doesn't say both, but I can understand that you might figure you will be able to do the other next time phase 4 comes around. *shrug

This just means that you can unlock either Ranged speed or Melee Defence per PHASE.......offcourse you cant do 2 quests in one phase

nowhere it is written that you can't take "the other" quest in another phase

last phase4 I unlocked Melee Defense and this time I unlocked Ranged Speed with no problems , maybe there is a problem if its done the other way around
