Does anyone have any information about the loot components for the Phase IV Remote Tracking Device Quest? The original post states that the loot items seem to drop randomly off any NPCs. I spent a while killing about 50 low-level NPCs on Naboo and looted an encoded disk, a broken lance (or something like that), a gong structure segment and a rug segment but none of the items required for the quest. I realise that 50 NPCs isn't a huge number but I'd like to know where people have found these loot components so that I know whether I'm wasting my time or not.

They are just like regular loot kit items and are dropped by random NPCs. The drop rate on the kit pieces look to be slightly higher then they standard loot kit pieces as well.

As soon as Phase 4 hits TC1, I'll post my screenies of the completed tracking device that I have along the completed quest. I do have part of the quest completed already, from when Phase 4 was on TC1, but I wasn't able to complete it by the time the quest was reset.

Take a look at ImageDump.com, under submissions sent in by Drashk to see what I have so far.

Thanks Drashk. I've managed to loot a couple of the pieces now but to me it seems like the drop rate is considerably lower than for the standard loot kit items. After a while having only managed to collect two quest pieces (typically the same piece twice!) I decided to keep track of all the loot items I collected:

Rebel Transmissions
Fancy Belt
Rebel Transmissions
Scout Blaster
Imperial Plans
Sturdy Boots
Locked Container
CDEF Pistol
Survival Knife
Heavy Axe
Ammo Bandolier
Survival Knife
Flared Jacket
Wood Staff
Orange Rug Thread
Imperial Plans
CDEF Pistol
Clothing Attachment
CDEF Carbine
Locked Container
Reinforced Combat Staff
Dagger
Heavy Axe
Rebel Transmissions
Locked Container
Imperial Plans
Gong Structure
Dagger
Rebel Orders
Blue Rug Thread
Encoded Disk
Gong Structure

During the course of collecting the above garbage I managed to get 1 (one) more quest item! How on Earth I'm going to finish testing this quest on TC2 I don't know.

Just like how Phase 2 & 3 Crafting quests are supposed to be completed.... Team work.

Unfortunatly, when it comes down to trying to accomplish something on a server that is only around for a limited time, not too much team work will be seen. The only reason that I was able to put my Tracking Device together so quickly was because of the strong community spirt found on TC1.

Finding some people to team up with would be great. I've already spammed the planet and auction channels for assistance and offering my spare tracking device segment but nobody seems interested. I also joined the TC2PA channel but it wasn't worth spamming that because I was the only one in the channel! The problem is as you say with a server with a cap of 500 finding people to work with is difficult verging on impossible. If anyone reading this on TC2 has spare sections of the tracking device or needs parts for it let me know (TC2 name: Otid Nera). I would be grateful for any assistance and happy to give assistance if I can.

I have done 4 holos and 24 other professions. That being 28 Mastered Professions towards Jedi. With what i have read, does this mean i pretty much, might have all the brances i need unlocked and just need to grind the XP and convert it to jedi XP, and then get trained?

7. Jedi & Extra Character Slots
According to Thunderheart it is necessary to obtain 24 FS skills in order to begin the path to Jedi. It is also believed that this is the point at which you will obtain an additional character slot. It would make sense that you could then surrender your FS skills if you want to, and keep your additional slot -- but that has not been confirmed. It also seems quite likely that you can continue to do quests and obtain other FS skills if you so desire.

Didn't read all the responses so someone might have said this already.

if you need all 250 skill points to become a jedi, then you have to drop those 24 skill points anyway. Since you have to do that, then I beleive you get to keep your character slot. For one, the devs said that we don't have to make our main character that we unlocked with a jedi and that we can make the second character that we create a jedi instead if we choose to. In this situation, if we lose our character slot, that would mean losing one of our characters or at worse our main characters. So I'm willing to bet that you keep your slot once you drop those 24 skill points, otherwise how can you use your character slot to make a new toon and take him/her through the process of become force sensitve.

and a comment for actual testing on TC.....is it me or is it hard to test certain aspects of the game when 500 people are in the same spot doing exactly the same thing when it is not actually meant for everyone to be in the same spot at the same time. The village is what I'm talking about.....seems difficult to test some of the quest and find actual bugswhen there's 60 spawns/quest that's exactly the same going on.....then they push the stuff live anyway and low and behold...what you say.....we find major bugs.

One thing that really made it hard to test was whip's rescue mission.....you simply couldn't get to the part where the sith spawn and you kill them and talk to the prisoner......because as soon as they spawn, someone kills them thinking it was thier spawn.....when that happens, How am I supposed to know if the rescue actually works with no bugs/flaws and such......I had this problem with this particular mission for 5 hours ealier this week.....not everything is hard to test but some things are.....or maybe it's just me...***Shrug****

Village Assault!
Quest Giver: Captain Sarguillos
Task: You must defend the village from attacking enemies. Enemies will attack the village throughout this phase (once every 2 hours). You will have to defeat two waves of: 50 sith outlaws and 25 sith lieutenants. When you do this the first time you will get "task completed" notification and will get another set of missions. When you complete it the second time you will unlock two FS branches. The captains dialogues are not working this quest as yet and we are not sure if there is a further reward or how to obtain this.
FS Branch Reward: Combat Prowess: Ranged speed & Enhanced Reflexes: Melee Defense
Item Reward: ?

Great Guide, though I hope the holo-grinder will have better conversion than what you heard.

You need to keep the 24 boxes that you have unlocked in the trials. This has upset some current Jedi's when they had to convert there skills as part of the Pub 9 revamp. You then have to 5 skills you can put the rest of your points (with the novice box costing 8 points and the rows of 4 costing 8-6-4-2-1) This is to stop all the Jedi's being the same

so your saying I have to keep all my FS boxes when I decide to make mycharacterfully jedi. If each box in the jedi trees only cost a specific number of skill points, then that means people can dabble in the jedi trees andnormal professions at the same time.

I have to look at the skill boxes again though.....with all these changes it's not easy knowing what is correct. Gotta start keepin up with the jedi changes.......
