GOOD armor. 80% kinetic isn't good armor. With the latest patch changes, the NPCs will use a wide variety of weapons in ranged and melee combat. A wide variety of weapons means a wide variety of damage types. When you have a thug pull a powerhammer on you and you're wearing 80% kinetic 60% base armor, you'll realize very fast that medium AR blast damage practically cuts straight through it. I personally use 27% stun 70% base armor sliced for effectiveness, so all my resists (minus stun and lightsaber) exceed 80%. The stun protection is in case a thug whips out a tangle pistol or a stun baton. In which case, the stun protections buys me enough time to run away, DON'T FIGHT A THUG WITH A STUN BATON. They will kill you, or mess you up bad enough for their friend to finish the job.
Proper weapons. Although your 500 damage geo blaster can do a number on people in pvp, after medium AR and 80% resists, you might as well be shooting them with spitwads. Use the weapon with the highest armor piercing you have access to (T21, laser carbine, republic blaster, vibro blade, scythe/powerhammer, LVA, VK), and go for pool directed attacks.
Use intimidate. If you don't have intimidate, pick up novice brawler. Intimidate decreases your opponet's damage output by 50% for 30 seconds when it lands. For all intensive purposes, it basically doubles your HAM if you keep the enemy intimidated. This can and will make you last a lot longer in almost any PvE/PvP encounter you come across.
Pull the enemies one at a time. If you are a ranged fighter, go prone, and hit a bleed (healthshot1, actionshot1, mindshot1, torso shot, bleedshot) and peace. The enemy will not aggro you until the bleed ticks. In the "grace period" run out of range of the thug. He will aggro you, and run towards you until he is in range. By now you should have been able to get far enough away from the other thugs so that they will not join in on the fun. If you're melee, you have to be much more careful with pulling the thugs. If you walk really slowly towards the thugs, they will all aggro you at once when you get close to one. Instead, try walking towards one, then running away from it. Keep doing this, progressively getting closer, until you are finally aggroed.
Use foods. Your best bet would be two varsarian brandies. If you're a rifleman, or a non-human character with low mind stats, use an arisha too. If you get into a sticky situation and need to buy some time, use a synthsteak. Depending on the stats, it will decrease the incoming damage by 35-45% for about 30-40 attacks. NPCs fire once every two seconds, so that synthsteak will last about a minute. The combination of synthsteak and intimidate can make the meanest thugs hit about as hard as a Stormtrooper.
Play it smart and be prepared. Don't run in with broken armor (check it first!), have your foods out of the crate, have stims out of the crate, and make sure you know what your plan is.
Know how you can fight. A TKM/Doc has no ranged mitigation. You'll be hit 3-4 times harder when they use ranged weapons on you, as opposed to if you had ranged mitigation. Samething when ranged players fightagainst melee.Melee vs melee on the other hand, you will not be hit as hard, and your toughness (unarmed toughness, 1-hand toughness, 2-hand toughness, polearm toughness) provides a direct percent decrease on incoming MELEE damage. The best way to get the thugs to go melee, is to hide behind a tree when they have you arrgoed. When they get in range, intimidate them and hit away. They will go melee pretty quickly. Melee toughness only applies when you are holding the applicable melee weapon in your hands.
Finally, do take some friends. Not only will the quest be easier, but the time passes a lot quicker when you have someone else helping. Not to mention the obvious safety bonuses of having another person with you.
Hope this helps.
what I mean is try to eliminate the TURRETS with droids or pets Before you lower the shields this way you don't get agroed by the damn things. After that the Kidnapper has to go behind the Camp at a rang of about 300 meters. and wait there (always use your HUD in order to see the ENEMY cooming)Now lower the shield and the Kidnapper guy has to take the position behind the camp right at the walls Now comes the TRICK !!!!!!! The shield Guys should now go in for a Kill Try to destroy the GATE #1 just to the front door with a /yell BANSI after that let you selfkilled "you have be slamed by a Sith Thug" NOW you will get a message that tells you YOU FAILED THE MISSION BUT YOU NOT !!!!!!!! now that you're dead you are the eyes and ears of the so called "tank crew" and the "kidnapper" the best way to do this is to be as closed to the main gate as possible. Now your kidnapper should be "all ears" the see what you have to tell him. Like Respam, Spam, or even that he has sith inside and should wait for a better moment to go in. However, the tank crew now has the hard job of trying to pull the sith out of the gate area, when that happens you "The Dead Guy" has to tell him that the Thugs are gonne and he is ready to go and open the door even a better way would be use a PET to open the first gate. now that he is inside and you still on the floor watching the beautiful Skys of Dathomir its time to tell him to open the next gate and destroy the Natenna as soon as possible. BUT don't let him Kidnap yet... here again you have to tell him when is the best moment. once all the thugs has DESPAMED (well you will have always have 2 or 3 at the gate but here again give the order to your "Tank Crew" to Pull them off. Now is comming the great moment to give the order ! GO GO ! The Kidnapper should use the Commnado /burst to get out as fast as possible. Tel him not to stop at anytime AND BE SURE THE THE KIDNAPPER WALKS NO BIKEs.Now Is your Moment to CLONE and get back to the village ASAP "The Tank Crew" is given the order to escort your Kidanper and keep his back free of Pirats and Bandits. Don't let the Kidnapper get into a fight at anytime, what the kidnapper has also to know is that the Commnader don't has to fall back too far if not he drinks a Hell of a coctail if he is unwatched.
Now that you're cloned and on your way back to the lovely village of Yoda City you have planty of time to contact the crew on there way back and ask for updates on the mission.
Remember you have to go in to the Village at the same time as the kidnapper. as soon as you see them on your Radar try to meet them and hook up with thenm and go to speak with the Captain. MISSION ACOMPLISHED. >>>> 2 cristals and a new UNLOG ... you did it !
BTW the SHIElD GUY don't has to rebuff in order to go back to the village you don't even need a buff the first time ! but its better when you do so you may get a shot or too and its always better to prevent as to cure.
I hope this post help those of you that didn't get it done yet.

agreed.. the "shield droper dies, then you don't have to kill 5 sith" thing is obviously a bug.. sure, it might work, but it's a bug. Once you unlock, why would you spend tons of time helping total strangers run their missions? The individuals in this game get hosed while cheaters/exploiters and huge guilds manage to advance.. fun..
Perhaps if you had put as much thought into your strategy as you did this whiney post, you would have done it quite easily. Did this on first attempt & I am in a small guild of 4 people, and there were only three of us in the group (3 made it easier but considering 1 was a Master DE/Pistoleer 2 would have sufficed):
a. Shields can be deactivated with remote from a safe distance from the rear of base, safely away from turrets.
b. Droids can then be sent in to deal with turrets .
c. if fully prepared with Buffs, BE enhanced Synthsteak, Air Cake ,Rhakira burnout sauce, Brandy&high resist composite armour a Masterelite melee prof can take the initial small group of 5thugsat once(see proviso below); I did it with a TKM / Master AS (no defense stacking). Use Warcry & intimidate.
d. to do the above however you will need a Master Doc (what we had) or a Master CM (would have been easier again with poisons). Master healer can also attack from safe distance but primarily there to keep the melee guy alive. Again food is important Havla is a must to keep healing up with rate of Thugs damage dealing, without Havla & decent healing stimms forget it.You don't know a doc? befriend one or as you would in RL hire the services of one. Even a loner Jedi like Ben had to hire the serrvices of Han assist him with something he could not do on his own (fly to Alderaan)
e. once you have killed the 5 & there are 11 others now standing at the gate, have the doc hop on his bike & draw their attention away. You can then take down main gate, run and have droid deal with "de-activating turret" inside base.
f. More Sith will arrive, again have the doc or CM use his bike to distract to one side of the base & you sneak in from the other, to kidnap commander. More Sith will arrive to front of gate, again the decoy on swoop will ride through and draw their attention whilst you burst run out of there in opposite direction, now head back village.
This would have to be one of the more interesting & challenging missions provided in the game, enjoy it
Preparation is the key.
Done with no cheating or Begging what so ever.
And before you accuse me of being some powergamer with no life, I am married, with 2 young children and a demanding full time career as a mortgage broker, who has played 5 x 2 hour sessions in the last 3 weeks. However after a friend failed on his first attempt, coz he thought he could take it on just like any previous lair / search & destroy mission. And got his ass handed to him. We thought it out and planned it carefully
BTW this was in no way easy, and those close calls is what made it fun. Even had to use Spice to save my ass !!
People complain the game is to easy, now the Devs gave us something challenging and you peoplecomplain.

Now perhaps most players in this game are not casual players with a wife and family, or other real job in the world and can afford to spend huge amounts time dropping and regrinding professions just for this mission.... if so I guess I am playing the wrong game and I should move on...
I bought this game to become a jedi, they never said it was going to take six months or more to get there.... trying getting some new plots and adventures instead of just slowing people down with boring grinds.... and impossible missions - i would like to know how many people have soloed this mission.... with just one combat profession...
my two cents....
The fact that that the quest giver encourages you to take a friend should have been indication enough that it is not meant to be easily "soloed", how many other quest givers have done that?
And you do not need to drop & regrind professions, just use lots of food, your swoop bikes & hire the services of a decent Doc or CM , that is why there are non-combat classes.

Very good guide. One comment tho....
My understanding is damage mitigation is a PVP feature only. In PvE....focus on melee/ranged def (which is useful in PvP as well) and defensive mods such as dodge, counter, and block. If you're a master melee combat profession, make sure you have your center of being ability macroed and looped. This can reduce the number of hits you take and enhances your ability to dodge/counter/block melee and ranged attacks.
