Sadly, while your buds in and out of game may understand you, your spelling and grammar techniques are going to severly suffer when you enter the workforce.
I know every generation says "this next generation is screwed," but man, you guys really are...

I'm a High School student myself, and go back just before Labor Day. My writing and spelling are pretty bad, but I make it a point to take the effort to check my work and see if it looks alright. This includes internet forums; like other people have said, bad habits are hard to break. I may accidentally forget to capitalize I or forget an apostrophe in a conjunction, but I like to think that my posting in a legible and intelligent format increases the respect people have for me. Many people would say that it is sad I try to gain respect in an online game, but the people playing here are still people and don't deserve me half-assing my typing because I probably won't meet them.
I can't recall any conjunctions that require an apostrophe. I can think of several contractions, though.
Sorry, couldn't help myself. When the rest of the passage is so well written, these things tend to stand out to me.

I didn't understand a word of that. well one word, "quicker" Learn to type, it'snot quicker, it's actually slower to type like that once you know how to use a keyboard and once you can more people will pay attention to what you say/type.
You got people griping at you for spelling, punctuation and grammar and you say it doesnt matter?

Go back to school, guys, seriously.
Or; when you leave school and can't afford to buy a computer, pay for broadband or even pay your rent due to the fact that you spent you school life grinding Jedi and now have no qualifications and can't get a job, you may regret it.
Pay attention at school, get good grades and become the people that make the games and get paid for it.
I work in the games industry, I get paid well to basically play games all day.
Pay attention

ROFL, what irony! Jedi_Xan, you pick on someone for poor spelling, yet your sig quotes someone who is famous for poor grammar!
I'm just giving you a hard time, though. I agree that kids should focus on school.
Kids! I have a full-time job, full-time family, and full-time school as well. SWG is running a very distant 4th place right now. I enjoy it when it doesn't interfere with more important things. That being said, however, have fun. Prioirities you must assign. Learn you will.
