Ever heard of a thing called the combat nerf dude, what do you think this is going to do to the FS grind?
1. Weapon damage/speed will be dramatically reduced.
2. It will take more then 1 person to hunt.
3. Grenades will no longer be combat XP.
I could go on, but i'm tired and don't feel like it.
And you know what, with the 5 months it takes to have a Jedi, maybe we should stop complaining that there are too many lightsabers out there, and just give congrats to those who had the mustard and patience to finish the tirals and the grind.
First of all, what kind of dolt comes to the FS boards to complain about too many Jedi? A Troller, that's who. This person doesn't even warrant a response. It's sheer relativity really. More people play now than before, subsequently, more will become Jedi, yet...YET... the percentage of Jedi to mainstream population, I would dare say, has been relatively unchanged since Publish 9. Of course there are more Jedi. Are there more Jedi to non Jedi? Perhaps but not by much. Are there more Jedi than "regular people"? Come on, this is a ridiculous statement. Many of us "see" more Jedi because we happen to be in places that more Jedi populate. A Noob will rarely encounter a Jedi, grinding his Novice profession in Mos Eisley. However, a Master Elite on Dathomir, Night sister hunting is MUCH more likely to encounter a Jedi. Another point. Noobs do not engage in massive PvP battles, and there again, would not encounter a Jedi. Master Elites do. It all in the perception of the game.
You get bigger pants, you see others who also have big pants.
To the point about perma-death? Horrible idea. It's hard enough to get a Jedi to come out of their house now, when they are being hunted because of the *gasp* XP they might lose if they get whacked. Imagine if they could lose their character for good? Geez, BH's would never be able to catch a mark.
Finally, I'm a BH and have no problem with Jedi. I appreciate the long and tedious grind it takes to become one. Most I have encountered are respectful and have my respect.
To those on this FS board who are heading down the Jedi path, keep it up. Do not get discouraged. Remember the goal. Besides, it is Jedi that keep my pcokets filled, the more Jedi, the better...hehehe..

And what's even more stupid than that. Pay money for something. Proceed to make a case about how stupid it is. Then, continue to pay more money for it. Now that's stupid.
RSCody wrote:When does it effect something? When you PvP and suddenly the entire battlefield is jedi. There are hardly any regular soldiers in PvP battles anymore, as everyone who gets their ass kicked by a jedi runs off to try and do it themselves.......every month a few more holdouts go. Now PvP battles are massive glowstick conventions. And for the record, I'm not crying at their "uberness." They're not uber, I've killed plenty. I'm complaining because it's very "Un Star Wars" to have more jedi than regular people.Message Edited by RSCody on 02-23-2005 12:33 PM
Don't like it? Roll up a bounty hunter and exterminate them all. Don't want to do that? Can't do that? Then deal.
Do you honestly think that, given the time this game has been going, that more and more Jedi wouldn't appear on the scene? In the complete long run, everyone will be, or have, a Jedi. Do you honestly think that SOE could limit the Jedi population and actually still encourage people to play, and pay for, this game? Don't like the way SOE is handling the situation? Get hired as their managing director. Go write your own Star Wars game. Don't want to do that? Can't do that? Then deal.
