The only Sith that come for you are the ones in the quests. I doubt they'd spawn out of nowhere just because you dropped your crystal somewhere.

i have 6 crystals right now lol ... i keep dropping it in my house then when i go to the village i tell the guy i lost it , and poof i get another one roflmao think thats a bug ????

The crystal is only used in initial quest from where the Sith attack. It was initially added to the game even BEFORE they added the Journal that everyone has now. The crystal was required toview your quests. Not it only takes up space after you finish theopening quests for the old man.After you're attacked you can put it away, you don't need it to do the rest of the quests.
