First of they DO NOT need to make a rule saying you have to play for 6 months to become a jedi. Stop acting like just because you have been here longer means you are better than other players. If you people want to get a jedi right away then let them try. Just like if you wanted to be a master BH or any other proffesion. Would you tell those players, "whoa now. You need to experience all the other parts of the game and become a veteran before you try to master BH". Its total BS. BH is not the endgame for most people, jedi is. so getting to the endgame faster isnt a good idea. Everyone has gotten so used to the idea of grinding at lightning speed because every other proffession is so easy to get. That is the ultimate problem with SWG. You can attain everything EXCEPT jedi in hardly any time at all. As of the state of the game right now Jedi is the last piece of content worth playing.same what i htinkMost quests in SWG are worthless or bugged. Loot is so screwed its ridiculous and the fact that every elite proffesion has one weapon you would use at master level is stupid. Its not exciting to sit on the vendors and look at 3,000 different weapons all with the same name till you find one with the right amount of damage for the price. use the bazaar vendor search. Just because jedi is hard to get does not mean its game breaking. Try any of the other popular MMORPGs and see how long it takes you to get a full template!

Im sorry but it really is time for SOE to change how long each prof takes and re align the player base's ideas of what it takes to become a master of any skill.

I cancelled my account last month and have until Oct 8. Before the combat exp nerf i could've gotten jedi. Now with school and practice i can only play weekends, that's not including when i have work. i still have 4 branches to get and now it does not seem possible. the whole jedi system was implemented too poorly. only reason i log on now is to talk with friends. i have been around when jedi were rare and we had to use holos but was pre occupied with doing other things. then i started grinding my first holo prof they took it out. then i got serious and did the village and have been slowly getting exp. now the combat exp nerf ruined my chances of getting it. this game has gone to hell. too many bugs and SOE isnt fixing them. they're too worried about getting new players to get more money and creating more problems instead of fixing what's already broken. so good luck everyone with the long pointless grind.

Actually since most of the recent publishes have been dedicated to bug-fixing as opposed to new features this seems like hyperbole to some extent.

yea they've been fixing some bugs with the new updates, but not enough and not the big ones.
