The grind may suck, but I think the to the trip to and from thevillage is the downfall, god I hate those trees

After a lot of trips I found a decent path that has no trees to get you hung up on. My village days are over so maybe it's time to publish my treeless path. I'll work up the waypoints and posta threadlater.

if you have a route to get me to the village with out hitting trees please share. the trip would be a lot soother. as for wining about the grind as many others said im happy to do the grind. my reward is a lightsaber. thats what i want , thats what im working for, thats what im going to get.

through out this grind thats all i have on my mind.........lightsaber......with a smile on my face.

Couple observations here....

KeevJaseri said the almighty catchphrase "It ain't about being an uber pvp'er or even being a server 'leet".

Obviously KeevJaseri, you haven't seen or heard of the FRS thingy? Doesn't that *force* (no pun intended) you to PVP? Doesn't that *force* (no punintended) you to try to be the Council Leader of which there can only be 1? Correction, it doesn't force you to do anything, just forces you to endure insults from the council members, hehe.

Here's another thing. I could care less about being a Jedi. For all the people that want it, more power to you. All I want is that 2nd character slot. Hell, I'd buy the damn slot if SOE would let me. That brings up the *grind*......

Why is it I'd have to spend 18 weeks to grind my way to a 2nd character slot? In the old system you were given Padawan and 2nd character slot at the same time. No waiting around BS. So why punish everyone who isn't a Jedi with this new system? To make people have to play longer, therefore *paying* longer?? With the ignorant way things like this are done, I'd probably grind my way to the 2nd character and be so bored I'd quit anyways.

SOE, you wanna hire someone to do real creative content and do things right, hire me.

actually it is jeedai if you are reading on the currnet SW novels about the Yuzhong vong invasion. they call jedi= jeedai. hope that helps!

as for the grind i dont mind waiting it out i just wish the conversion was a little more favorable by a point or two in all areas and the phases were shortened by a week. but as hell hasnt froze yet i wont hold my breath for changes either! lol!!!!

I think it's a 50/50 toss up on the guys who are going the nade grind, on if they'll finish a jedi template or not. they get their xp too cheaply for it to be a true barometer of the XP required, or maybe they know it all to well & that's why they switched to grenades.

I think it's a 50/50 tossup for different reasons. I hated the FS grind (what little bit I did on my alt characters), because it's a brainless grind that often had me reading the forums on my laptop while I was in macro combat on my desktop. I missed the fact that there was absolutely no challenge to the FS grind, so the Jedi grind (I'm about halfway to two-thirds through) has been more fun for me.

There are some people who have more of a stomach for mindless grinding. These people are going to have a hard time with the Jedi grind, because they're going to try to take the same techniques over that they used in FS grinding (solo group, tied to a mission terminal, recursive macros, etc). They're going to get on the terminals, and they're going to get killed. They're going to hate the fact that they have to be on their toes, and that there's risk involved with everything.

To be honest, I think the people that hate the FS grind may actually have an easier time with the Jedi grind that those who are flying through the FS grind because they can stomach the extreme monotany for longer periods of time in one sitting.
