Thread: Grenade Grinding has got to -GO-
Grinding with a melee prof does take a fair amount of time but the phases do take awhile to change. It's a six of one, half a dozen of the other.
"row to hoe"... that's the coolest analogy I've read all week... 5 stars to you !!!

Jedi itself is a much longer, harder row to hoe.

They wontchange the XP given by Nades. Simply for the fact there is no other use for grenades. They damage your armor and your HAM more then the enemy if used singly.
Also to the commando a post or two above me, Quit it with the Dbbler chit already. That term i thought was finally going out of style dont even revive it. Its like finding an old pair of Bellbottoms with a DNA stain on them, they should not be washed just thrown away. Dabbling as you call it is how the skill system works, if you stuck every darn thing at master you tard then what would be the insentive to even pick up a cross skill? I hate people who look down on others for playing a game the way they want to. You chose to master commando nobody forced you. Just like i chose to master pistoleer. do you hear me crying they should move geo pistol cert to master? No i didnt think so.
Errr.....but it IS the dabblers that give Commando a bad name....the ones who do not take anything other than field tactics to further their grind. They do not pick up a flamerthrower nor have they probably fired a rocket launcher, so Dragon is right in saying it's the dabblers who give us a bad name. While is may be how the skill system works, dabbling can lead to people crying nerf to a profession that needs no nerfing.....i.e. commando. However, I must note that come CURB dabbling as we know it (for stacking) will not work in the same way. A master Commando (169pts) will be able to dominate a regular 92pt prof, making that prof dabble into other profs to increase their dmg output, not "stack." So, I say......SHUT THE F*CK UP.
I heard this same whining and crying when people just went into commando for the flame line. Will you guys make up your mind on what you dont want people to take. Look i did master commando, if i want to re-enter commando just for the grenade line or whatever i will. Anyone who cries nerf is usually somone who is unwilling to change their gaming style and feels others that do are somehow cheating. If they would worry less about lowering a class to be on level with everyone else instead of raising the so called underpowered to their level, it would make for a better game.
Also i dont know who your telling to"SHUT THE F*CK UP"but it doesnt take a big man to tell somone that in a virtual environment.

No, the main reason we commandos are irked is because we are getting cries of NERF! from people like the original poster who feel like we are somehow better than the other classes because of our genades giving combat XP....we had that because we had a cap of 3.5k XP per kill, rather than the 5k XP that the other profs have- therefore it would take ages to get our field tactics line. No one has ever said that the dabblers are cheating, we simply state that those who take only the field tactics line give commandos a bad name. Why? Because any commando in his right mind would never use grenades in a fight due to their somewhat......volatile.....nature in this game. And then we hear people yelling to nerf our combat XP abilities! Also, we ARE underpowered, because, oh let's see here.......the HAR is broken, our grenades dmg ourselves evern tho bomb droids do NOT dmg their user, the heavy weapons are a joke in PvP, and our only real weapon to use (without extensive dabbling in Pistoleer and BH) in our flamethrower. So YES, I do believe our worries are well-founded, and we are not "crying" about this because we hate dabblers. And if you DID master commando, then you know how we feel of being just about as powerful at Flame IV as we are at Master, and many people just dabble in the tree for the flamethrower, so how DARE you accuse us of whining. And on a final note, I told you to shut up because you obviously had no respect for what Dragon had to say, and were simply flaming him because his opinion differed from yours. So have a good day flaming others.....
If you care to log into ahazi you can look at my bio if you dont believe i mastered commando. The reason i did master commando is because every person who seen me carry a flamer told me i was a dabbler in commando just to use the flame thrower. My advice to you is, dont take out your frustrations with the gaming system on the people who use the system to their advantage. Talk to the people who developed it. Oh wait they dont listen. It seems nobody wants anyone to join their proffession unless they have plans on mastering it. In every game system you will have people that Min/Max their characters. Since this system does not reward Role Playing or any real Proffession based Quests, you will have people dip into whichever proffession enhances their character the best for the situation they're in.
P.S. I oppologize to Dragon, it wasnt meant to be a flame.

I won't sign, cause nades is the only hope i got here = ) i just got to the fs xp grind, and taking up nades to HOPEFULLY stock up the total millions i need to be done with the xp part, just wait for unlocks, b4 the combat comes out. but honestly, if i break my bak with buffs i can cap my unarm once or twice a buff session... so let's say once to give ya example here. unarm xp 900k, combat 90k roughly. that's 60k fs xp, then a 15-20min to village to convert. rinse repeat. i don't wanna spend all my time grindin, i like to hang out with people toolike above stated though, i'll sign... IF they tweak the conversion ratios
Well I will
I stocked up 5 combat lines using pistols and no nades so no sym[athy here on village trips. That was a designed gat to slow progress.
If a pistol give both pistol and combat xp why should a grenade gust give combat xp.
If you dont want to spend your time grinding then why grind, or grind slower.
Still not understanding why people get mad at this....
