WOW, 5th time a charm...would like to personally thank Lispo for posting the wps, I dont believe I could have completed this ridiculous quest without them...The Commander stopped maybe 3times the whole way as I completed it with 20mins left on timer. Thanks again!!!!

... bump ...

People still are posting about having trouble getting past this mission and thus I 'bump' to return this thread to the front page since all the newbies to these forums never seem to go beyond page 1.

My 2 cents -

*Use a probot to take the turrets out. The turrets do not damage the probot and you stay healthy.

*Yes, you need to kill 5 Sith - but be prepared when a dozen show up! I actually thought only the needed 5 would spawn....was surprised when so many spares came along. This is when the protector's fighting and healing abilities first shine.

*The player doing the escorting must keep moving, no matter how slowly. Do not engage in any battle - keep your eye on the distance from the commander. My alt never went past 50m from the commander and he kept moving (never had the chance to take poison hehe). Most of the time I kept the distance at 35-40 m. Keep in mind that the commander is slow.

*The other player(s) have the job of scouting for and protecting the escort team. Be quick to pull aggro away/off the escorter. Healing ability, terrain negotiation, and good fighting abilities go a long way here. I did the escorting...my partner did a superb job protecting me...especially when rancors spawned. I thought I was going to go down. I just kept moving and healing myself when I could and my partner pulled the beast off me and kept the other rancors'busy' until I was safely away with the commander in tow.

*Sith will spawn right up to the village wall in an effort to break your quest, so do not let your gaurd down. Keep moving...keep protecting.

*Most importantly, please be prepared. Have all your foods, power-upsand Stim D's ready. If you have a Health crystal, this quest is a good reason to use it.

I wish my partner and I had the WPs back ( faster and safer is nice), but we went to 2nd or 3rd closest base and made it back to the village in about 45 minutes despite hills, dangerous critters, and other nuisances. It was a bit hard on the nerves.....but that made it a 'game'.

Good Luck to all of you doing this quest.

Definately should not lose the WP's tho... just in case next time this phase comes around someone needs it.

There isn't any real way to to get things to drop appropriate loot, it's all just too random. My only suggestion is to not bother camping the Sith spawns waiting for them to respawn after killing them. Instead, fly over to another base and kill the Sith that spawn there and afterward fly on to the next base to continue killing.

Save up all the disks you get, I usually get 1 or 2 per large Sith spawn. Remember pirates don't drop the disk only the outlaws do. So you can actually save some time by only killing the outlaws without going through the entire spawn of Sith. Once you have a dozen or so Disks go turn them in and cross your fingers.

Although the phase is almost over, I'm going to post my path from the second closest base. Hopefully it won't be needed the next time around, but if it is, then I hope it helps someone else. I'm listing it in a format so you can cut and past directly into your chatbar.:

Second Base (5315, -1125)

1) /waypoint 5406 -1283

2) /waypoint 5395 -1470

3) /waypoint 5324 -1624

4) /waypoint 5319 -1893

5) /waypoint 5291 -2117

6) /waypoint 5339 -2354

7) /waypoint 5392 -2502

8) /waypoint 5555 -2692

9) /waypoint 5611 -2850

10) /waypoint 5480 -2837

11) /waypoint 5456 -2840

12) /waypoint 5238 -2930

13) /waypoint 5264 -3340

14) /waypoint 5141 -3406

As with Jispo's path from the first base, you will need to follow crevices and in the lowland areas pick your way through the trees. I am going to keep this brief, so I recommend reading his post for general tips.

Waypoint (2) is a little off. You will want to go to the right of it and head down the ravine. From (3) to (9) is a long walk through the valley floor. You can stick to the left side most of the way and it is surprisingly obstacle free. There is a crevice at (8), however you do not need to enter it as it loops back out into the valley. If you wish to avoid mobs however, you can consider this an alternate route. At (9) is a crevice leading up. This is the steepest part of the trek so you may need to slow down a bit for the commander, however he can navigate it safely. (10) is a four-way intersection and (11) is the best path to take of these. The remaining points are the same crevice. When you hit (14) there will be a small mound in the direction of the Village. Walk around it on either side and the rest of the trip is flat land.

When doing this I set myself to walk, targetted the commander and used the ~2 keystrokes frequently. I kept myself between 10-20 meters while my partner took care of the Sith and any other aggro.

Anyone have a Path for the 3rd and 4th closest bases? I made one and tried it twice only to fail 1k to 800m away form the Village. Bloodfin doesn't have bases in the 1st and 2nd spots this time around. Thanks!
