Some of you say "if you payed for the game, you shoudl be able to become a jedi" well i say, "this isn't jedi galaxies, this is star wars galaxies.".

Jeeez...so you paid for the game. So what. You paid to enlist in a social framework. You didn't pay to become "The One". EVERYONE wants to be "The One". But it simply can't happen. Thus, EVERYONE must be disappointed to a small degree. But if this isn't accepted, and the devs cater to everyone's desire to be the master of the server, then things will just become ridiculous...as they are already in my opinion with master bounty hunters, teras kasi masters, commando masters as plentifull as mcdonald's employees.

They really need to, in my opinion, take a LOT of emphasis off improving your personal character, and put emphasis on improving factions/ guilds/ etc. This should be done through the actions of many unremarkable players, not one or two lightsaber weilding flamethrower toting, vibroknuckling Neos.

If you want to be uber, go play a single player game. If you want to try to be uber at swg, good luck..but it should be so impossibly difficult that its stupid to try. Instead, you should be thinking about how the imperials/rebels can win. How you can help with the city you're a part of. How you can aid the guild war you're in...etc.

This is a social game people. Stop going out and grinding for nothing.

That's just your opinion friend. There is enough here for every kind of player.

I don't mind see jedi at all. Robe you give them visibility!!! I do agree with that.

I enjoy every aspect of this game. not just the social, economics, pvping, space combat, hunting, exploring, etc.

If pvp wasn't so screwed up, and more starwarsy you wouldn't see much jedi.

Think back b4 they nerf ch, then no more stacking defences, what about rifleman/combat medic?fencer? If pvping worked the way it was meant to be, then ppl would have less time on their hand to grind jedi.

we all want to relive them epic battles. Atleast I do. I won't pvp untill Combat revamp. Untill then, I'll continue my jedi grind. See my point.

Most combat proffesions are broken imo. Commando is now weak for pvp, tkm is also weak(80%kineticarmor). Bh for pvp? rifleman? pistoleer? no, how about a fencer? Pls. I didn't buy this game to become a fencer or a combat medic that poisons everyone.

But it's not the professions, it's the armor thats too strong.

we will see what happens in two months.

every combat profession should have every kind of damage type weapon.

I don't know if anyone mentioned this in previous posts but most people don't understand the Force Ranking System (or whatever the hell its called). For it to work properly there has to be a bunch of jedi on jedi (or jedi on BH) fighting. The current population of jedi doesn't allow much of it. There's the new and improved Fight Club option whcih is pretty much the only way you can be a jedi master at this point. Maybe I'm wrong but anyway, everyone go out and get that jedi!!!

Ok, confession, I am waiting on the old man so need to fill some time but.....

Who thinks there are far too many Jedi out there? I am gonna go for it like MANY others, but I remember the days when the Jedi was rare and I cant help feeling I prefered it that way. Not becuase I hate Jedi, I've only ever PVP'd one once, but becuase it just felt more realistic.

It seems now that everywhere you look there are Jedi. Will it get to the stage when most PVP'ers are Jedi? What happened to the Jedi CAP they had when I signed up?

For me its not how many jedi there are in game. its how many I see in public places like the starport just hangin out. That totally kills the emersion of the game. There aren't suppose to be any Jedi other then the famous ones (ie luke, Yoda, Darth, etc.). So I say let as many people be Jedi as they want but just make the system so that showing your face in public has a HUGE penalty (and staying out is rewarded for that matter) so that jedi will be discouraged to hang out in public places. This will keep the complaining down...except for the Jedi who think this is a bad idea...and I'm sure there will be many.

my monthly subscription to SWG allows me the pleasure to pick and choose what I want to do with MY game. and if there are 100 players per galaxy and they ALL want a Jedi, well... they ALL paid their bloody subscription fees, so let it go.

its a game people, and we all want to have fun, so why do some of you get bent out of shape when someone else makes a decision about their own game?? let it be. i still think its crazy to be arguing over whether there are too many Jedi. this isn't the movies, and its not the books... its a video game limited by its own concept/context.

I say why not make JEDI like pilot. Everyone can work on JEDI skills as soon as they play. Give everyone a second toon on live servers should not be to hard since you can have 3 on test. That idea JEDI should be rare is dead, It is a game and I do not see why there can not be a way for some one to roleplay a JEDI without haveing to PvP. If nothing else then make the starting JEDI as strong as any master elite profession. I still find it odd a new JEDI is as weak as a novice brawler or it was when I tried it out. In reality the only way to cap something is to nerf it. I give you creature ahndler as proof it was way to strong when game started they nerfed it now only people that really want to be a CH is still a CH.

It is harder to find a Bull Rancor baby then a jedi and I be darn if I did not kill one that spawned last night

flame for what? That is how you feel and you see how I feel on the matter. AS a Master CH the only rare thing in this game are creatures I can tame not JEDI. I do not know about your server but since december 03 there has been a total of 3 bull rancors tamed that I know of. You look on the CH fourm you will see they are truely rare and I will not even talk about the frienzed grual that is suppose to spawn babies but never does. JEDI being rare that horse is dead might as well make this EQ 2.5/KOTR 3.

Thank you and hope you have a nice day.

I would be remiss if I did not add to this post, since I have some opinions of my own about the jedi issues.

First of all, jedi are amazing. I would be surprised if I found that there was a player out there 100% disinterested in a jedi character. From a roleplaying standpoint, they are intelligent, powerful, secretive, intuitive, mysterious and unique. I have had some jedi-related roleplay and it was always intriguing and intense.

I do not want a jedi, per se, because I am a casual player and I actually enjoy being a co-star to the Very Awesomely Cool Jedi of SWG (tm). But if I wished to be one, I think I deserve to have a fighting chance to go through the grind to get there. I am unfamiliar with the various methods to become a jedi, but I do recall that in thebeginning there was no help given and I saw only two jedi in the span of over a year. That seemed in-character, of course, but I imagine it was disheartening to those that were striving to be jedi.

As far as jedi running rampant... if roleplayed correctly (that is, according to available film, literature and theory), we would never know jedi were running rampant around us. In-character, we do not have little names and titles floating over our heads. In-character, there is no law that states a nifty cloak equates to a nifty jedi. As far as I am concerned, in-character, the jedi are a myth. A dream. A distant legend that would be very amazing if true.

But that is me. I like surprises. I like adventure. I like the idea of thematic roleplay where meeting a jedi is INCREDIBLE.

So if you are on the Starsider server and you would like to engage in some roleplay where the other person in question is genuinely impressed by jedi, and perhaps still even doubts they exist, look me up!

Ok just out of curiosity, if it bothers people that much about seeing jedi in game, why are you still playing swg? I agree with some of the issues with jedi but come on, stop crying and play the game, otherwise go play wow or eq cause thats what most people who complain are use to. Sure jedi are everywhere and they should be hidden, those players who choose to be out in the open( note the word CHOOSE ) are putting themselves at risk and feel they can handle anything a BH and his/her gank squads can throw at em. If it bothers people that much to see them go BH and hunt them down, they do make this thing in game called a BH mission terminal and often times you can find jedi on there. Well I think I have said enough, I am sure someone is going to make some attempt to crack a stupid joke or use some sort of immature saying like "noob shut up" or something of that sort after reading this. Oh well back to the paddy trials.

Stop crying, play the game. If you want a perfect game go find a perfect world cause this darn sure isn't one.
