Then go play KOTOR or some other game and leave those of us that have the patience and stamina to become a Jedi alone.

These posts kill me, they translate to: I want to run around as a Jedi for a while, look cool, say “been there, done that” and move on. What you want is exactly what the system is set up to avoid. Jedi is a end game quest reward for players who show devotion, and longevity, knowing that this type of player will add depth and color to the SWG universe. As I have said before, I’d add a veteran requirement of 6 months, or one year to even being able to enter the village. If you’ve not been in SWG for at least 6 months, not only are you not prepared for Jedi, you need to explore other game content first, there is much else for you. This is just my opinion, take it as you will.

However, know that I have unlocked, I did do some village, and some holo grind, I did fight Mel.; I do know what it takes. Frankly, it is not to hard, nor does it take to long. You would water down the game content and turn this into KOTR, or Academy, which it is not. This is a MMORPG, and the assumption is that players will be playing for a significant period of time, therefore all content should not be available in a six month period.


The only change needed in the time factor is it taking longer to fill the trees, adn people who are not devoted enough to stay the course moving on to other content. This is intended to be hard, and to take a very significant amout of time to complete.

I don't see ANY point in PVPing, it's just your stats vs the other person's stats, it isn't your skills vs their skills... It's just like Pokemon or whatever other dumb elementary game younger kids play these days... I will agree it's your stats against someone else's but you're leaving out a huge piece here. 2 identical characters could PvP and the winner would be the one who uses the right skills, right armour, right foods/drinks at the right times... so... wrong again.

I would much rather have it to where I'm the one who puts the laser through the person's head instead of having the computer do it for me. It takes skill to get a bunch of headshots in a row, however we have to rely on the computer to shoot the person for us instead of using our own skills to do it. I've hit people who were falling down and killed them in 1 shot, that takes skill, however the CPU isn't able to go to the levels that humans are able to go.

Another one of my problems with this game is that you have to be within a certain range to be able to even hit the NPC... I have hit people from 800m with a rifle without a scope and without adjustable sights, it bugs me when I have to move to 60m to be able to even hit the NPC with my rifle. Lemme guess, Counter Strike with a HeadShot macro right? Because actually aiming would be too much work for you.

I like how they added Architect (which is the REAL life profession i'm hitting for in 3 years when I reach College.) and other non aggressive professions. (Oh my lord! Please, tell us when you make it to be a real life architect. You can't even spell none-the-less handle the high level mathematics that it takes to be an Architect. God save anyone who crosses a bridge you built!)

MY only issue is that it takes too long to kill certain NPC's and that the issue of Grinding even for professions is unnessicary.

I'd be much happier if to get to Jedi, you had to go through a Theme Park (that was like the Rebel park and with more delivery/escort missions than kill missions), however have it easier than the Warren or the Corvettes, but have it the hardest Thme Park other than those. EASIER THAN THE WARREN!! LMAO!!!! Oh man, please, do us a favor and cancel your account now. People as dumb as you should not be allowed to own a computer.

I also don't like how people can join the Imperial faction and get things like AT-ST's and Stormtrooper armor while us Rebels don't get anything except cruddy little soldiers... <+++ Oh yeah, because those AT-ST's are so tough! You're right, everyone should have to a Webel like you and everything should be easy so there's no goals to work towards and no real work to be put into it.

I love this game other than the fact of grinding and how hard it is to kill certain things. Also with the fact that POI's are in locations where they shouldn't be and that planets like Corescant, Hoth, etc... aren't included in the game.

My religion is none of your business. In the same way that yours is none of mine. Nor does your political or idealogical believes mean anything.

My point was that from your post you only want things given to you the easy way and you are unwilling to work to gain what is considered the highest level of achievement in this game.

As far as me being a "nice person" sorry if I came off too abusive and if you look at your thread in a few minutes I will post on that. You can take this as my apology, but a public one will exist shortly.

Point being, Jedi takes a lot of work, many of us have been in this game for close to 2 years now to try to achieve what you want handed to you.

Also, It IS your stats vs the other persons, you could both be wearing 70% Comp Armor, with the same buffs and same Vasarian Brandy... Who would win? YOUaren't the person pulling the trigger on the weapon, therefore, you DON'T use any of your skills. PvP needs a lot of work, I believe I agreed on that, but again, it is how you use your skills and your profession that = the win button. But again, you know better right? It's not like I've been in this game since day one.

You don't know ANYTHING about me, I enjoy math, I may not be too good at it, however you don't have to be an expert at math to be an Architect. Also, I would never build a bridge. Skyscrapers are what I'm shooting for. Architects don't have to be math experts.. hmmm... are you planning on getting that degree through the mail or a crackerjack box?

The Warren WAS hard, if you don't think so, then your ego is FAR bigger than what it should be. I was in a group of 4 other people, I wasn't buffed, however the other 3 were. There was no one else in the Warren so we had to defeat all of the animals and NPC's ourselves. You try going through the Warren without a buff. I didn't have a buff because I couldn't afford to spend 10k at the time. Excuse me, but the first time I went through the Warren I had to walk there, I was unbuffed, vasarian brandy/mounts/bikes were not in the game yet and I was wearing Ubese armour. You were in a group of 3, I was in a group of 2.

Yes I DO believe everyone should be a Rebel. Why the heck would any1 want to be Imp since the Imps were the villains of the SW universe? Made up of worthless deginerates like Palpatine, Tarken, Vader, etc...?

The ONLY reason people want to be Imp is because they want the easy way out and want to beat every1 else with their AT-ST's and Stormtrooper Armor. Not to mention other advantages. AT-ST's and Stormttrooper Armour do not even come close to being an advantage. Stormtrooper armour is at best 30% resistances and there's not one elite combat profession that cannot solo an AT-ST in under 5 minutes, but of course I wouldn't know that because I don't know what I'm talking about right?

Lastly, I assume you don't have any values because of the way you are acting, heck, you aren't even a good person. If you reply with the same egotistical, flaming, a-hole attitude as before, you will find yourself IMMEDIATELY on my ignore list... So either grow up or shut up. You wouldn't know a damn thing about my values, as a matter of fact I was drafting an apology which you can read above. Oh and btw, I'd like to know what your GPA was in high school, if you ever made it to a well paying job, had teachers, peers and parents who cared about you and who care what you do with your future. I'd also like to know what your values are, because right now, you seem like you have absolutely no values whatsoever. 3.5 GPA, College degree in Computer Science, Microsoft Certified Sytems Engineer +Secruity + Internet (NT 4.0, 2000, 2003), I've worked for nothing but fortune 500 companies for over 12 years including Perot Systems, American Express, AOL, and Sun Healthcare. I have a very large and caring family. Wonderful girlfriend of whom I am planning on marrying, my peers and co-workers respect me and are treated with respect as well. As far as my values and morals I doubt I am allowed to go into that here because religion/politics is not supposed to be a point of discussion on these boards.

To answer the Mel question, there have been several good threads on it, I’d do a search. However, in brief:

1. 4 crystals must be destroyed in order, or the heal mobs and each other.
2. Misc sith flunkies are on hand, 4 if I recall, toy can kill them but they respawn.
3. Mel had a right hand goon, I forget the name, he is no hard hitter, but takes time to drop, decent ham, nice resists.
4. Mel is a true sob, he has the full spectrum of force powers, a nasty LS, a huge amount of ham and massive resists.

(The sticked guide has all the details, I’m just establishing the basics so this post will make sense to those who have not read the guide)

My plan was as follows (it did not work):

1. Master rife conceal shots crystals to see which is not healed, and takes them out in order.
2. Insane MCM runs in, area poisions everything, jumps on speeder and takes mobs for a long walk.
3. Tanks, in my case JK, JP, MS, MS, MTK, kill goons, and stand ready to take down the very tore-up Mel and his sidekick, as they will return when crystal 4 drops.

I was one MS, and also Mdoc, the other MS was also MTK, Mrifle was also MCH and CM for support; the one of the Jedi could rez. The last player was smuggler, BH, CM, to keep me alive, and provide ranged support, as he was with me in RL he was calling controlling the fight and being my eyes.

What happened: 1. Master rifle quickly identified crystal order and started on first crystal. 2. Tanks stayed busy dealing with tuskan spawn at camp location.

This was good until we realized it would be hours for the rifleman to take the crystals out, time for plan B.

CM ran in, area poisioned, got agro, kited mobs out, while my BH pulled goons off cm to the tanks, where they died a horrible death. So far so good, we rushed the crystals, while the rifleman and BH killed goons as they spawned and the CM and MS/MTK took the mobs for a stroll.

The next problem was master rifle CTD, followed by Mel knocking MCM off his bike and eating him. MS/MTK could not keep Mel and his bud aggroed, they returned to camp, just as we dropped crystal 3, and were healed by crystal 4. Chaos ensued, MS/MTK bites it, I go to Rez, and die healing him, with my BH body guard, Mel loves the person with the quest. The JP takes out crystal 4 as the JK kills Mels sidekick, this was all kind a at one time, and my memory is spotty on events. Jedi rezes me, and BH, both Jedi engage Mel, everybody else is dead or incap, my unbuffed and groggy but tried to keep the Jedi alive while I get others up. This is going fine, but Mel was doing more damage then I could keep up with in my state, and every time I healed he came after me again, things got crazy at this time, I bit the dirt a few times, so did everyone, Jedi inc, until I called a withdraw.

We backed off, rebuffed, while playing keep Mel busy as he would not leave me alone, no matter how far I moved, we went back as a force and killed Mel. He appeared to heal a few times, but I can’t confirm it. We killed Mel, in straight combat, from about 50%.

The lesson is, maintain order, and regroup as needed. Perhaps my story of a trying
