Ace yes there is, like in KOTOR juhani's parents were not jedi. Or did not posses any special talents or anything. And ofcourse there has to be because jedi arent suppose to fall in love, meaning no kids right? I could be very very wrong but thats the way it sounds, im not too knowledgable in the part.

As a semi-addendum (sp?) to a previous post -

The Master - Padawan relationship seems to be quite alive on Bloodfin, thanks to a VERY active PvP community full of MBHs. Several of the large guilds have built their own "Jedi Training Centers" on the mid-high level planets (Dantooine, Lok), where the young Padawans (usually 2 or 3) are escorted/protected/aided/trained by fully templated Knights (and up). This helps the young Jedi to learn how to properly play their character from a more experienced user, while also providing protection from the roving BH squads. One downside is that it adds to the Padawan's visibility and ensures that he or she will be on the BH terminals, but it doesn't usually matter in the end, unless the BH comes with a full group of 20.

TheRealJedi, please feel free to use ctrl + mousewheel to adjust the size of the text on your screen such that all post fonts are the same size.

If your mouse lacks a wheel, then go to view, text size, and adjust from there.

Please do not even joke about other people's preferences to fontsize. Some people like to be able to read the text.

Thank you JediMalek for your response.

and its the RealRedi, but i'll forgive you, cos im having a firm butt day today - dunno why, my arse just feels trim today

s'funny though, and proves a point - make a sensible suggestion and its ignored as people trample over it to get their point across - make a silly, pointless or childish post, outside of t3h GAT and somehow people notice... go figure...

Ace - chill out matey! Yeah, i do have a wheel, but so does my chair, four in fact, and rolling them backwards makes the text size change too. My housemate is virtually blind - can only see colours and lights unless up close - and he actually did the screen resizing himself to make ALL the text the same size, instead of expecting everyone else toresize their text just to read his (usually stupid and immature ) posts

aanyways, i stayed too long in this here jedi thread - you guys with your glow sticks - like a hard/acid-house room in the early ninties haha!

Hence the sillyness. You know, I've heard people's excuses why this wouldnt happen, but If players themselves form Jedi guilds where Knights help padawans, shouldnt, by the same logic, NPCs be doing the same thing? How do any of your explanations for why they shouldnt stand ifother Jedi who arePCs are doing it. Dont try to explain away one thing, and ignore another. If you want to bea Jedi, not just a FS, why be trained by just FSs in the villageand not Jedi if Jedi are out there at the enclaves, which takes us full circle back to the original idea, and first post of this topic(which should probably be re-read, its been a while)

Wow, i must say, i am impressed. I opened the forum thinking i would see someone complaining about how much exp it takes to become a jedi, how hard phase III is, or some other lame complaint. You make a very good point. A light side/dark side village plot would be very cool. You would need a sun shiney out of the way planet with mobs to match dath for the light side, and dathomire would be the dark side planet.

Uhmm... Dathomir as the Dark Side planet?

I have pity on the light Jedi who come in search for Force Crystals at the Night Sisters stronghold... muharhar...

Seriously though, if each Jedi "faction" was to have their own planetish sort of thing, I'd rather have Korriban for that purpose - after all it's the "last" resting place fornumeous of Dark Jedi lords

Milgram, When I saw this thread i thought it was gonna eb some BS complaint too, but everitt makes a very good point. And It would be kool to have seperate plaets.....some more planets, Like whats-his-face said korriban would be a bad ass planet. So would Ithoria, that would serve as an awesome place for light side jedi....

I am going back to an earlier issue talked about(I know it has been a while since it was posted but I just got around to this thread). I am talking about DV or Boba fett or any NPC known characters coming alive and going after high ranked Jedi. I don't think the Devs would ever do this for a few reasons.

The character would have to be unstoppable killing everyone that opposed them. If DV did come after the strongest PC jedi in the game it would basically be him having to run away from DV because if you killed him how would that make sense?

Now I would like to see him go after and assasinate high ranking PC rebels in the game. That would make sense, because no non jedi would ever be able to stand up to him, and any friends helping the reb could just be handled with by a group of Elite ST's Vader could travel with.

Well by becoming a Jedi of either side they are dumping their bonds to the Empire. The Empire hunts all jedi because they are a threat to the Emperor and Darth Vader.....
