Thread: For those hit by the new patch.
Remember that crafters will only lower their prices when they have sold the high-priced-resource-required items for at least the price they paid for them (probably with some profit else they craft in vain). I also have just filled my warehouses with tons of components, that i bought for prime prices

I would think that in order for crafters to match up with the combat players, they're prices would have to be lowered. i mean...if everyone lowered their prices, the economy wouldnt be so bad...it would virtually be the same....its when you have people making crap money, and then you have others charging millions, that the economy becomes unbalanced. simply put, crafters WILL HAVE TO lower their prices to balance the economy, otherwise they wont have consistant customers. Atleast not as consistant as they are used to now.
And if you ask me, this is a good attempt to balance the economy. Leia only got 35k for bringing chewy to Jabba, yet you have to pay an average 200k for decent armor?
I think this all is leading into the combat rebalance. econmy will have to change along with it for the game to remain balanced.

Ok, so now we are grading the post because I stated something you diagree with?
I will try to be state my opinion for you in manner that suits you.
Making sure to double space after each period, capitalizing and correct punctuation.
It is a damn posting board, weather or not I put a comma here or there or a period there I could careless. The point I was making is that I work 40+ hours a week, and for a hobby I play video games. I like this game so I choose to play it, and the last thing I want to do is come home and mess with a harvestor interface for four hours just to be able to afford armor for the profession I choose.
I had just stated that I do not see harvesting as a viable source of money for the way some play this game. If you have found a way, Hooray!! for you and I am glad you have the time to invest to play with a havestor and worry about clicking to put things on a vendor, setting a price, making sure that none of the auctions are up with out selling and replacing them on the vendor. please read the post don't pick and choose pieces of it and make assumption. SOE has to keep in mind that if they want a large community for all there servers they will have to make changes that will not affect a majority of it paying customers or what has happened in the last few days where I log in and poeple are selling all there items for a credit and buffing for free cause they are leaving is going to be a common theme.
Here, let me reply line by line so you know that I am reading your WHOLE post.
First, I did not grade your post. I didn't star it nor did I give you an "A" for effort. What I did was made a joke and said, "Seriously though, here is a rebuttal..." a rebuttal is, "the speech act of refuting by offering a contrary contention or argument ", in case you didn't know.
You don't have to have proper grammer and spelling, that's your choice.
Yes, you are right -- this is a posting board and you don't have to put comma or a period in if you don't wish to. I have lot's of grammer and spelling mistakes. It happens... it was a joke, get over it. You seem awfully upset over your spelling if you don't care.
If you don't want to use a harvester, you don't have to. The point I made was in response to your post... here's the very first line of your previous post, "I cannot understand the whole harvesting thing because that is not a payout." And you continued on about how it was not a viable source of income. I rebutted (again look above for definition) and gave my own personal experience as a source for my defense.
Nowwho's making assumptions now? I read your whole post.. remember? It made my eyes bleed. Your post for the most part spoke of harvesting and crafting and changes to the economy. The last part spoke of SOE's not caring about bringing in more people, then you speak more of looking at vendor's costs and finally wishing that SOE paid more attention to those who have wishlists and what have you here on the forums.
I was not rebutting any of that last section. I only spoke of one part which I also made mention that you and others have made comments on. Again, that was harvesting not being a viable source of income. Which I defended with my own experiences.
Finally, not to assume, but thanks to WHOEVER 1 starred my previous post for rebutting an argument. Obviously that is the best form of disagreement around here instead of conversing using these threads and posts.

Payouts from solo groups are going to be nerfed. If you are in a sologroup of 10 people and take a 30k mission and complete it when other players are not close enough to get a payout, you get 3k, the other 9 get 0. It appears that xp will not be split though. Pets will not be counted for higher missions or payouts under the new system.

So you are better off, credit wise, doing the highest level mission you can pull on your own.

Just my 2 credits on the situation, but in the long run i think this will be a great step towards a more fair and realistic economy. If they do it right anyways. :-P
The economy is based on Capitalism. There is no such thing as a fair and realistic economy in Capitalism.
That'sfunny to say that the economy has inflation. Is there such a thingwithout having a prime rate of intrest and a cost of living that does not change. Yeah price are high but they will always be high to the realtive amount of money you have.
If you make a 100credits and a suit of armor cost you 90 credits, there will be no difference if you made 10credits and the suit cost you 9.
The same problems that exist now will be the sameproblem that will exist when you make less money.
It would have been better served to add some new content and charged credits to do it then it would be to decrease the amount of money to made. Don't waste time on the economy when there is nothing new in the game to do. Even if it only took 5 minutes - spend that 5 minutes on some of the bugs!
