I used to do this quite alot too but I had Ranger4040, have since temporarily dropped to get Doc0004 to unlock the persuasion branch... Sometimes, if I needed the xp, I would walk from the Smug Outpost. Now there's no chance, takes forever for me to walk up a small hill let alone a steep cavern or mountain.
