if you head about 1500m south from science outpost, then turn towards the village, you'll both avoid any trees and nightsisters, and be able to go AFK the whole way. I've never lost a swoop or died or got stuck in a tree doing it this way.
Get to the fields to the south of the Sci Outpost and you're sorted the rest of the way.

hehe, glad to be of help.
It even seems to be a faster journey, because you have the ability to
a) go in a straight line
and
b) not need to worry about pulling yourself out of a tree if you fall asleep (i frequently did this)
My only problem was falling asleep and i'd crash into the wall of the village.
But at least i made it safely. hehe.

Well, guess I'm the only person that walks there. I usually get tons of XP just firing my T21 at everything I see.

If I were to walk there, I'd be dead before I got 1k out of the outpost.

I usually drop the screen and lurk in the forums... I turn the volume up and listen for the telltale sound of a "combat music gone on too long" que.... I have anuncanny "You're stuck on a tree" intuition as well... I can tell by the sound of too constant engine murmles...
Doesn't everyone buy Swoops by the crate anyways these days?
"In MY day, we walked to the Imperial Prison on Dath, in the snow, with no terrain negotiation, uphill BOTH ways.... and we LIKED it!"

Now that is the best bit of info I could have possibly received. I was so worried about traveling out of the starport in a straight line to get to the village as soon as I could.
