As for converting space xp, as the Devs have said that Jedi have no advantage in space, I don't think it would be right to allow that xp to be traded in. Plus you can rack up space xp pretty quick so the trade in ratio would be (pardon the pun) astronomical. If they did it I could see it being 50:1 or even 100:1.

Only reason i mention it is the vehicular control which is an fs skill any type of exp can be traded in except for space...I don't see any reason why it shouldnt be able to be turned in.

Ok let me rephrase part of what I said. Since they have said Jedi have no advantage in space, I am assuming this applies to the FORCE sensitive skills as well hence Vehicle Control. As far as I know from what others have told me, once you get master pilot, you stop gaining Space Combat Experience and start gaining Prestige points. If they were to allow the trade in of Space XP, you would see fewer Master Pilots and Space would turn into a wannabe jedi grind fest. I want to go to space to have fun, not fight endless amounts of grinders who are doing nothing up there except grinding FS xp.

And as far as space being the only one that can't be traded you are wrong. As said in the original start of this thread, Shipwrights cannot trade their xp (which should be allowed) and, correct me if I am wrong, politicians cannot trade in xp.

I third that the shipwright xp should be convertable. I got into the village and found that in order to grind crafting xp...my shipwright is useless. This I find especially bogus as SW is a pure crafting class; in order to get the crafting grind done sooner I'm told I can drop shipwright and get a 'regular' crafting template....yeah right.

Now that it's OK to support the removal of classes in your signature, I firmly support the removal of all the benny hill glowstick fanclub from the game; it was a lot more fun before they came.

I dont want to sound mean but SW and Politicians are not what I am nor do, and couldnt care about that personally, for friends yes... I do have JTL, I will never go master bc it cannot be done alone, and was offering a suggestion, thats all, you dont like it thats your opinion, i was merely offering mine and would like to see it happen.

I just downright and quite firmly believe that the conversion rates are all jacked up. The fact that I would have to grind for months on end every single day, is not fun. Not at all..

They replaced the Holo-Grinding with...... A much much worse grind.

Oh well.. Not like the dev's will ever listen to the players.

I was shocked to discover that I can't convert my shipbuilding xp to fs xp. There is no logic behid that at all. As a shipbuilder, I have no skill attachments or toolkits to help me, and I was hoping to work up a few crafting branches of fs to help instead. But if I want those branchs I will have to grind low-level artisan items! It's so stupid. Besides the crafting mission being totally whack. I dont mind having to work hard for it, but I hate grinding pointless stuff, esp. with the pittance of xp I will get from it. Also it makes no sense that jedi skills can't help you in space. Luke?? Anakin?? I know that SWG isn't the movies but com'on...

I'm going to readthem overduring the followingweek, touch up the report, and submit it to the devs.

Since you haven't submitted it just yet, I'd like to make a quick comment:

General - Padawan/Initiate status cannot be dropped

It's not possible to drop Padawan status after being earned. Many would like the ability to do so... especially considering that Jedi are now people's main characters.

Freakin QFE... Personally, this is a huge sore spot for me. Even if we have to make the second slot Padawan before we can drop it on our main... something, anything...

Totally agree. 100%. Fully. The Devs HAVE to do something, this is just plain stupid. My life will need to be SWG for the next 3 months to ever get close to Jedi, and I've been doing it since the Jedi Revamp. This is genuinely a horrible implementation of this xp conversion system, it's inexcusable that they expect people to play this game like it's a job just to achieve a goal as lofty as Jedi. I agree it should be difficult, but this is all just plain stupid. It's borderline inhumane. I question the Devs motive on this.

They got rid of the hologrind with the idea that people wouldn't have to change professions if they wanted a Jedi. Now, it's spend 2 years grinding, or just ditch your current skills and be a Commando. That's LAME.

Thus far with this system, the Devs have failed horribly. I don't expect anything out of them. I recommend all of you do the same.

Also, whoever decided that the special color crystals should take 4.3 years to fully cycle in the village should be fired, branded a fool, and blacklisted from ever working on an MMORPG again. That's complete idiocy.

Sorry for being so inflammatory, but this grind is inhuman. And it's only the FIRST GRIND for the love of God. We haven't even TOUCHED the TIP of the grind! That's just plain stupid!

Has there been any feedback from the devs on these issues so far?

Being a crafter I was quite shocked to see that the new grind (as far as crafting goes) is FAR WORSE than the original grind ever was. And how many people left the game because they got burned out on the gind?

All I have to say to the devs is WT*?

I left this game for a while and came back because of JTL. I've always been a crafter and picked up SW to find out 1) I have to hand grind all of my finished products due to lack of factory support. I said to myself, Fine It will at least help me get the xp to do the FS crafting trees..... You see where this is going. Nowhere Fast.. So I ran some numbers. I pondered "Since I don't want do drop Shipwright, what would it take to do the 4 skill trees grinding personal harvesters?" (450xp -> 56crafting FSXP per harvester)

I would have to construct (in practice mode) approximately 108,000 harvesters requring 26.8 MILLION resources. If that wouldn't make you want to quit the game permanently I have no idea what would.

So If I actually want insane enough to grind up the crafting trees I have to completely ignore my Shipwright business.

Way to go SOE!

Phase I; Persuasion Quest -

Is there any way we could possibly make this capable of being completed with its actual prerequisites, i.e. Master Medic, without having to add a full branch of Doctor into the equation?

I don't mind having to master a profession in order to accept the quest, but having to progress through an entire tree of crafting is just too much to ask.

Suggestion for an important Top Issue:

Phase Changes - Let us know when they occur

The way the phase changes are currently scheduled seems too random. As can be often be seen on the boards it only causes frustration among players not knowing when the next phase change will occur. Some people are waiting for the next phase to come so they can start a new quest. Other players are afraid to start a quest in the current phase because they don't know if they will be able to finish it in time for the phase change. Please give us at least a few days warning about when the phase will change exactly - just like you do for scheduled server resets and for certain live events.

I kind of quit over the doctor XP thing. I realized I could either use an exploit to gain Medical XP quickly while sitting in the village, or I could play the game as it was intended and heal and buff people around the galaxyto max XP between visits to the village.

I exploited for a few XP, but got tired and realized it wasn't fun and was kind of sneaky.I tried healing and buffing in coronet, but I maxed too quickly - it actuallytook longer to travel to the village and back than it took to max my doctor XP! I felt that was the developers saying that they'd rather have me waste time traveling around than being a benefit to the community.

So because 50% ofmy limted time online would bewasted traveling,I got discouraged, and left.

I honestly think if they hadallowed you toconvert XP to FS XP via yourforce crystal, instead of having to go back to the village, then I would still be playing today.

There were always 2 or 3 doctors there, and simply not enough people to buff.
