i thought there were people saying it had switched when they were in the village. I was under the impression it was an independant timer.
There are, I just don't believe them
A direct JustG quote:"A bit more info... the cycles are based on a specific number of seconds (1814400 to be precise) that is ticked off by system uptime. The server resets the day after the cycle has ticked off. Again, the value can change based on village load. And the uptime can be affected by unexpected downtime (like maintenance, etc.) So it really is approximately 3 weeks." (colouring/bolding/bigger font-ing is mine)
Can you confirm that the phase shifted without a reset?

I can yes. And as per JustG's quote, the change is kicked off after the cycle complete, not after a reset. I am confused as to why there is still speculation on this issue

Also chimera here, I can confirm that the fases are not, and I repeat NOT tied to resets. In fact, last fase was without a reset, and dath itself spawns didnt even change. I think the village is on a different part of dath, like geo on yavin.
Yet again, it is NOT tied to reset, its a timer.

If you are going to "quote" CSRs, please make sure that you are quoting what was said and not what you interpreted. Misquoting CSRs is not the best thing to do and creates problems, rather than resolves them. (Edited by CS Supervisor Bruce E)

I write with the CSR "CSR-AmandaT" in the launchpad chat and he say: "The server must be reset for change the phase"

It's a pity but the CSR's usually have no clue. They have stopped all but essential maintenance shutdowns, does that mean the villiage now changes every 10 weeks? No, it's on a timer, the Devs have stated this, too many times to count.
It is not tied to restarts. My last word on a tired subject.

ok, then a good question:
Has anyone ever been in a village when the phase changed ?

As long as you didnt got disconnected, this confirms that phase chages occur appart from server resets.
Stayed connected both times.

Oh and for the record, CSR-AmandaT never said that the server must be reset for a phase change to occur, all she said was that she wasnt certain.
