MInimally you have to use 24 skill points to finish the FS part. Then, you go through the Mellichai exit quest and on to the Padawan trials, which are easy but time consuming. You then get your additional character slot opened up, your robe and the ability to use a LS. You can stop there if you want, but if you want to develop Jedi skills you will need to drop your regular skills to free up the skill points you need for the Jedi skill boxes.

EDIT: the art of the successfully managing whole system is to avoid dropping skill points too rapidly so you minimizethe dip in your CL. Drop the absolute minimum you can to get your Jedi boxes, but the skill pointrequirements are very different from regular professions, much more compared to the skills I've done. If you are not careful with visibility, you need to first work on defensive/healing skills becuase BH will be after you.

What I mean is, once I unlock my character slot, can I drop my FS-related skills?

Dont know if you realize but if you are a Melee template you can also get 200k XP from the3 ranged professions:

pistol-Carbine-Rifle without having any ranged boxes. Stange i know, but true. That will give u another 19998 FS XP.

what happens if you get your padawan, and unlocks your second character.

Create the second one, delete your padawan, and try to start another character?

The SoE code :
SOE improvement is a lie, there is only nerfing.
Through nerfing, they gain whines.
Through whines, you gain gankings.
Gankings, leads to sploits.
Sploits leads to banning.
And banning sets us free.

1. How much harvesting XP will U cap at with just novice Scout?
2. Is the XP siginificant to harvest resources from a lvl 82 Bol/Piket with just novice scout?

I am at scout 2xxx and only get 30k xp before capping. I cap scout xp after four or five level 80+ kills, and I imageine that the cap is much lower than that for just novice scout.

Don't bother taking scout just for the FS xp unless you plan to go high enough to earn a high cap limit. On the other hand, walking away from an evening hunt with 100k of some high quality hide or meat just might be worth the 15 skill points.

It's 75k. It's not really viable as a means to get senses XP. If you take novice CH you can up that cap to 200k I believe, plus another 200k or so of CH XP.

Anyone know the Scout XP cap for Hunting IV.

Itlooks like 200K isa more viable means of getting HS XP. Are you able to cap Scout XP at 200K if you choose Novice Bounty Hunter instead? That way if I am not interested in doing CH I can pick a full weapon tree from BH to supplement my combat XP.

My goal is to get to the 200XP cap at scout because I do not want to drop my other 2 professions. So basically I have 52 skill points left over. That will allow me to get novice CH with no 3 points to spare or I can novice Bounty Hunter with enough left over to get some of their specials. If I can still cap Scout @ 200K with novice Bounty Hunter, then that is the route I would like to take.

Once you Finish the Padawan trials, you are locked into Jedi.

You can not drop Jedi Padawan and you will never get those 24 skill points back.

The 24 points in FS Skills are gone to your main. However if you pick the right skills you can still create a normal template with benefits.

Also you can drop FS skills but you must maintain 6 full branchs (24 boxes) at all times. If you want to change one you must have 4 free skill points, Train up a new branch and then drop the old branch.

Nich1313 i suggest this temp, as i have considered it many times.

MBH

*Any tree in TK

*Any tree in Swordsman

*Any tree in Fencer EXPEPT the combat xp trees.

1)this gives you 3 caps with MBH

2) Gives you 3 more caps at 1.2mil xp

3) just fyi, this temp can only be made if you a) surrender MBH so your just 0444, or b) take away a few skills from one of the brawler proffessions.

pretty much. Once you are initiate you must deleteb the fs character to remove the skills. (at this point do not delete your 2nd slot as you lose it)
