200K!!! If that is correct and I have no reason to doubt you. I have not tried it yet. That would mean that while out grinding medic and 1 gun line that that you could get 200K scout XP. that would give you 2.4mil @ 30:1 which would give 40K HS and 40K combat. the 200K Scout @ 8:1 would give 25K HS. If you are killing CL 82 Bols would you get good XP if you are a CL80 with only 1 tree of Scout? Before I drop some gun trees to pick up this scout stuff I need to know this one.

yes, you get about 5k scouting xp per bol that you harvest. it doesn't take much time at all to max out scouting xp if you only have one branch, only a couple lairs really. i do this all the time. plus i'm also MCH and trade in my CH XP at rate of 9:1. after the combat nerf, i'm probably going to do at least 3 of my remaining 4 unlocks in the senses tree.

Lets say for example that I could spare one ltree in Scout and that tree was xx4x. What would the XP cap on harvesting be then?
I have 4040 scout.
I cap at 75k scout xp.

Doesnt matter. Go with whatever profesions you like best and get there when you get there

The best template is the one you have the most fun with. All temps have ther drawbacks, thats were tactics and strategy come in. Above all have fun, if you don't the grind is going to be very boring.

Best option is to go Master scout, cap is 900k i think. Master Ranger is 1.2 mil xp.

You may want to look into creature harvesting. You would at least have to put 15 Skill points into Scout--and that might hurt--but at least the ratio is still 8:1. I will still be able to keep at least 1 master profession and spread the rest in weapons to maximize village runs. I would be able to cap medical (1.2 mil), pistols(1.2 mil), carbs (1.2mil), rifle (200K), (combat 300K) and scout (??????)---(which is 8:1) Unless they nerfed that along with the medical/combat XP. The only question I have about this and maybe someone out here knows:
1. How much harvesting XP will U cap at with just novice Scout?
Not enough to be worth it, less than 2k i think
2. Is the XP siginificant to harvest resources from a lvl 82 Bol/Piket with just novice scout?
No
you were thinking about going heavier on HS like I was after the combat XP nerf, then this might just be a viable small template addition. If it cut down 3 total trips to the village over an 18 week period then it might be worth it.
If I like the answers to these questions, I will be adding harvesting to this long and tedious grind.

It's 75k. It's not really viable as a means to get senses XP. If you take novice CH you can up that cap to 200k I believe, plus another 200k or so of CH XP.

Yes, you can get mad xp from harvesting, but it only goes to one FS tree, can't remember which one at the moment. I banked over 3mil in scout/CH FS xp and didn't use it because I unlocked the other branches that are more helpfull to combat skills.

I am TKM/MSwords/Pike0040/Fencer0040 and my caps are 1.2 million for all 4 so that's 4.8 mil plus 300k combat exp.... my net FS exp per trip is 170k now.

What do you mean that when you reach paddy to get your alt, you limit your primary character to being a Jedi?

i can understand that.. but by doing so you will limit your other toon to being a jedi for the rest of his time in-game. You could always try making a crafter on another server to see if you like it. I do this and when i need money on one server i just arrange a credit exchange on the trade forums.
Is that true? I thought you could drop Jedi and FS skills once you unlock... if you can't, I think I'm going to stop working toward Jedi. I really don't want to play as one...
