The VILLAGE will not let you convert Shipwright XP. I do not believe this is fair, please consider this a petition to the devs to allow shipwright XP conversion.

I'll add in on this as a shipwright.. I used up 6 million resources in the ground game to get my profession, and it is mainly a crafting profession. Seperating space and ground 100% was a bad idea, and that's why it's getting harder and harder to get people to buy parts these days.

Please reconsider and add SW experience. I have 300k xp past master for apparent reason. Why bother counting it if it doesn't mean anything?

The only profession ive seen the devs say thre would be no xp conversion on is pilot. Im fairly certain that they will add the SW exp to the conversion list when they get around to it..... the only question is when they will get around to it. I would say patience, but I know its fustrating for you to have all the xp and nothing to do with it... and every item you craft is just lost xp. If this isnt in the FS most requested thread then I would send a pm to the corresponded to have him look at this thread and add the issue.

Really, then why can a DE that can craft JTL items (unprogrammeed chips, flight computers) convert the XP made by making those to jedi XP? If they're gonna remove one type of JTL xp they should remove ALL types of JTL xp.

I haven't been a DE in sometime, but do the parts that are craftable by the DE for the ships (Unprogrammed chips, flight computers) require JTL? If so the conversion shouldn't be allowed on these parts, if not - no big deal. The key here is having to purchase something in order to accomplish a task (Craft ships, fly in space etc...)

To answer your question, no a DE does NOT need to have JTLS to craft these ship related items. They were released as patched files when JTLS went live.

but we would be getting an advantage on the people who didn't buy JTL. Because we have an extra profession we can transfer exp from.

So as it stands now those who DIDN'T buy JTL have a huge advantage over us shipwrights in that they didn't spend skill points going up a tree which gives you ZERO towards force sensitivity and they didn't have to pay extra money to find out that their extra effort now counts for NOTHING.Even if it were an ungodly high conversion rate like Architect, it would still be something. It will take a long time to go up the FS Crafting trees, but at least we wouldn't have to give up our business to do it.

/sigh For what SWG could have been.
/weep for what it is today
