Thread: Major Xp Conversion Bug In Village (Shipwright XP)

I would imagine the main reason this won't happen is because not everyone has JTL and it would be a unfair advantage to those that do not have it.
I fail to see how this could be an unfair advantage to anybody. It takes the same amount of skill points to become a Master Shipwright as it takes to become a Master Architect, Master DE, Master Weaponsmith, etc...
It's not as if the people that do have JTL are getting a free profession out of the deal. The people with JTL should be able to master shipwright and convert that xp...the people without jtl will master a different crafting profession and convert that xp.
The only unfair advantage I see is towards the people that DID decide to go buy JTL. We have to spend the same amount of skill points as everybody else to master our crafting profession, yet for some reason our xp just doesnt count for anything?

1) It is not a bug. This is the way it was intended to be. The devs already said they were making JTL a completely independent expansion. They do not want (nor do I want) for JTL profession experiences to be used for the force sensitive path.
2) DE was around a long time before JTL. They are not a profession introduced by JTL and therefore they are not subject to note 1 above. If you want to grind out huge amounts of crafting experience quickly that can be converted, pick up Architect and grind out Gungun heads. Shipwright alone does not take up all your skill points, so I don't see what the big hassle is to begin with. We all have to give up professions to follow the force sensitive path, get used to it. You're going to have to drop the profession anyway once you finish your FS skills and start along the Jedi tree, it's not hard to just pick up 1 branch of Architect so you can grind that out since you already have engineering 4.

Pilot XP doesnt have to be allowed. It doesnt fit into any FS XP section anyway. But shipwright is the same as crafting. It goes straight up the engineering line. They should add it.
Either way, even if they did allow it, like I said it would be set to the same conversion rate as architects, somewhere around 35/1 even then it would not be worth the time. You'd end up with little more than what you have now, it's so fustrating to drive all that way for a whole 6500 FS xp. I can only imagine SW conversion rate being worse
Pilot - A whole different story all together. The reason why we pilots want to get force sensitive experience is not so much that we want to grind really fast to be Jedi, but more we just don't want to think we're just wasting time in the air when we could be making "progress" grinding for Jedi on the ground. Most of us wouldn't care if its quite an obscene conversion rate, just as long as we know we're getting somewhere and having fun doing it(JTL + Teamspeak = Woo!).

Sure, but you have to say, whats so important about it costing skill points. Sure you have a certain number of skill points to have abilities but in the end Force Sensitive exp is supposed to be all about the effort you put in and the time you grind isn't it?
but we would be getting an advantage on the people who didn't buy JTL. Because we have an extra profession we can transfer exp from.
The only advantage we'd really have as far as those things go is that we'd be able to spice our experience in galaxies up alittle. And isn't that the whole reason for the expansion?
