Yep I agree the FS grind sucks and it pretty stupid it makes no sense in the sceme of things other then to promote only powergamers to become jedi. As for the exp requirements of jedi as people have said once I have that first sabre I dont care how long it takes or the rest I have a jedi and I can go kill things I want to kill at the rate I want to.. right now I have to go grind for the max xp because the 7 million + I need is more like 210 million xp..

I havent complained but yes I hate it I think its a stupid system and has no bearing in the starwars universe but hey no one asked me..

Wow...ilike this post, you really see alot of feelings people have and boy do i wish devs knew how we felt. and yes no matter how long the jedi grind is i think i will enjoy it so much more when i am actually jedi because right now i am thinking the people who make the game are dumb....lol.....guess im dumb for actually doing what they want but its what i want and no! i will not play a jedi game cause it doesnt have the same feel as this game.

I ground the FS village 3 different ways. I started w/ part pistoleer and ended in master, and used fan shot for alot of it, however it was VERY slow, and only 60k XP (pistol/combat) was not alot in a 3 hour buff session. Then I tried rifleman, I got speed capped and LOVE it, however its way to easy to blow up the baz nitch lairs so I did not get the most out of the spawns. Also, rancor valley seems to be empty half the time so its hard to find a static place to grind. Last but not least, I did the grenade grind. It was horrible. I spent 8 hours last friday, and 10 hours saturday finishing the last tree and a half. It was mundane, and I wanted to quit.

The only thing that kept me going what my best friend, just got his saber, and I had a major case of saber envy. I dont care what path you take to finish the village. Its all fair game. We all suffer with the lack of usable skills, we all have to bust our asses to get the points, even with grenades, I -have- to have a doc buff, a entertainer dance/music buff and armor or I -will- die. Some ppl can get away with less. Its a trade off, not counting the horribly gross amount of money I spent on pistol or rifles or grenades and armor and buffs. I spent millions. (I made it from master rifleman, what a great profession. Speed Capped.)

I have my saber now, novice nothing. Training saber and I have a poop-eating grin on my face. Im happy. I love it.

I bitched, sure. The village sucks. <-- there is me bitching right now.

But jedi.. thats not a grind, its a reward. Enjoy it.

And thats the point. To weed out the ppl that dont want JEDI, but just want a tank. Imagine what kind of people we would have running around if JEDI was easy to get.

Sounds like you had quite a time of it hehe.

Well done on making it through though. hehe, the saber envy does make you want it all the more at times, doesn't it

I left that last part in for others to see

Good to see some of the reasons behind your arguments, but after i spent near 6 months completing the grind playing 2-3 hours a day max. I'll admit i went a few weeks thinking what is the point in all this, but i just got on with it, So if i managed to complete it there is no reason why any of you's can't, If anything the length of the grind will make you appreciate the reward at the end more whether it be the Jedi/Alt charactor or both lol. the reason i wrote it was because i was just getting a little fed up seeing people complaining, Anyway i have chilled now and just looking forward to phase 1 to earn my reward. Good luck to those who battle through and good luck with your new charactors.

obviously you know since you've done them right?
Which would then imply you're a Jedi, and from the posts i've seen that you have posted so far, you're still not even to Jedi Initiate.

I only got glowly this month. I've had the character since the game went live almost. He's a bothan. I havea full-time job so I have to grind when I can. It's not the most fun I've ever had, but it's the goal that keeps me going. I've managed to open 1 of the 6 branches I need this phase. I'm not even through my first box yet after getting novice.

Will I make it through? I intend to, but I don't know. It's a tough grind no doubt about it. I'm glad. It means maybe, just maybe, the folks who get it will have some decent character to them (I mean character as in a worthy person, not a strong character).

I have no intentions of pvping or trying to be "uber". I won't be showing off. Getting a jedi status is a goal I've had since I started. It's something to strive for. I'm enjoying the journey even if I don't reach the destination.
