hahahha you are so right

thats exaclty hwat happened tgo me. i got my first c12s made some xp, then i found out about c22 and i loved htem. but i then began to wonder what it would be like to use thermals, so i mastered field tactics and over the past 3 days and thousands of credits i filled two branches. you cant beat 300k combat xp in 25 minutes.

hehe, i was another who fell victim to this.. Starte don the C12's, then heard about how much faster others were doing it with the Imp Dets and Thermals. So i did the same thing, altered my template a little and took up command 3000. Didn't have anymore skill points to spare at this point, and so stuck with imp dets.
I was so amazed at the difference hehe. 25 minutes to cap out combat xp was like heaven. Specially as i could only play for about an hour at most.

While the original poster is totally right, that C12's do work really great, and i fully advocate the use of them too if you really don't wish to change your template.

For those who have limited game time. I would highly recommend changing templates for a few weeks. You can always regain the other skills later. But if all you need is the xp to complete your 6 branches, then seriously think about going Commando 4000 or 3000. You won't regret it.
Just be certain you have plenty of credits in the bank.

My total cost was about 2 million credits for approx 30 crates of Imp dets (45k/crate) and 33% max damage power ups (925 credits/crate).

All grenades work wonders, but once you try them, you might want to find out what the better ones can do for you. Gateway drug is the perfect name for c12's hehe.

I group with my ATST and pull level 75 missions. This gives me the same payout, but there will be 4 GBN's per cycle. I milk the lairs, so I end up with about 100k per lair. Doing it this way, I only need 3 lairs to cap. Soooo, I take 2 missions, milk em, then go back and get 2 more. I do one of em, then head to the village. After capping, I go back to the last mission that I have and milk it. I then go and get 2 more missions. This time, I milk both of em then head back to the village for another cash in. By this time, I usually have about 30 minutes left on my buff. So I can usually squeeze in one more mission. Sometimes I don't complete it in time, but sometimes I can manage it. Once the buffs are gone I go get my BF healed up and get ready to do it again.

Hope this helps.

I had the same experience with C-12's and then changing my template. I had only one branch worth banked, so changing my template wasn't a big deal and I have to say it's very working well.

My Advice

I was grinding with C12 because I hada cool melee template and I didn't want to get it lost.

In that way I was able to cap about two times in a buff ( Dantooine quenquer ravage missions )

But my friends and a lot of people here at the forums told me that, "If you're going to become a jedi, you'll have to change your templaena anyway" And they're rigth!!

So I became comando 4000 and now I'm able to cap 4 times in a buff, (400k fs Dathomiir giant baz nitches)

Same time, double xp

Really I love my fencer skills, but i dropped them in order to become a Jedi. At the begginning I was sorry for that, then I realized that I get the double ammount of fs xp... Now I've8 boxes remain and I hope to have them finished in the next week.

Hope this will be usefull for you, and realize that even if you change your template, you can regrind it after you finish your fs grind.

Cheers!!!

I'm so confused on grinding with nades.....

Ok do I reallly need to get power ups and get thems sliced? And I never see any solo groups on my server so I'm not to keen on the idea of going nades.

FWIW, Rancors have blast vulnerablilty, don't dizzy, and work pretty darn well with c-12's. Enraged rancors have 30% blast resist though, so don't take those.

I used to like voritor trackers on Dant, but I think I will be sticking to rancor missions from now on.

After doing a lot of my grind the 'hard' way, by maxing unarmed (900k) with 90k combat I picked up a bunch of C12 crates to give it a go.

i was too lazy to go commando,........., but it works better with a scythe/powerhammer than with knucklers

I agree with you here. C12s were so effective that my wife figured "what the hell, I'll be dumping everything once I hit Jedi anyway", and went 4000 Commando. Let me tell you, now that is really effective.
