Were you planning on unlocking your Jedi with Melee Defense, and have all your xp for the branch once it's unlocked? Get that close, then be told you have to unlock another branch in 3 weeks and grind almost 4 million more combat xp.
No, I cannot unlock another branch, as the ONLY remaining FS Combat branch I have left to unlock is Ranged Speed. Hence, my xp is useless unless they fix this.
As for the Devs responding and fixing the bug, don't hold your breath unless enough people get vocal. And that is the explicit purpose of this thread.
I fail to see what the problem is with someone complaining about 3,750,000 useless Combat xp trapped in a FS skill I can't use. I would say this is a very valid thing to be upset about.

I certianly hope that this is not deliberate, and that it will recieve immeditate attention. Given the choice, I would have done Melee Defense last time. This is the last line that I want, and I have the XP ready and waiting, like many others.
I'd like to hear from the development team if in fact this is working as intended. If so, then it was not made clear upfront,and I will personally petition to be given an option to switch to the otherline. As some have stated, thosewho had the opportunity tounlock for free have not been so limited.

i honestly dont think this is the way its intended, i think its a honest coding mistake, but it still needs to be fixed ASAP

The simple solution is have CSR's posted in the village, resetting the Sarguillo quest for those who already have either
A) Melee Defense
or
B) Ranged Speed
already unlocked.
If either of those branches are unlocked, and Sarguillo refuses to give you the quest, reset Sarguillo so we can take the other quest.
I don't think this is intentional, as there's no balance issue of having someone with Ranged Speed AND Melee Defense, and as a counter example, someone could unlock Ranged Defense and Melee Speed without any kind of issue.

In the same boat as the rest of you, gotta be fixed as soon as possible, otherwise there is no way I'm waiting 3 more weeks and grinding out the xp needed, I'll just simply quit...

I made the above statements because I know ALL OF US are banking xp. ALL OF US. We all know how time consuming and hard it is.
Now, imagine all the xp of one FULL branch of force sensitive skills being totally useless to you suddenly.
I could care less about less than kind replies. My point is to strike a chord with those of you who are also working your tails off for a Jedi, and not only do I want to get this fixed for MY sake, but when any of you end up in this position, you shouldn't have to deal with it.
If it's not fixed NOW, enjoy the exact same "ranting" the next time this phase comes around.

HOWEVER, i chose the opposite last time and have ranged speed and have 1 mil 257K total force sensitive pts saved up and need to do the ranged speed to be done with the village. Warr said it exactly right to come and look and have this thing bugged and SUDDENLY have all that XP not availble and have to GO REGRIND 1.225 MIL towards something else. ITS NOT RIGHT. Thats where we're coming from.
get your panties out of a wad and give the Devs and chance to fix it is all I'm saying....did you try that yet???? Or do you need 100 more people posting over and over with nothing to add but there crying and moaning....in other words would you like some cheese with you whine? lol

SonGouki, the Jedi Correspondent, replied to a PM by me and said that he's passed the info on to the Devs.
PLEASE NOTE: This does not necessarily mean a fix is on the way, or that anything will happen to correct this issue. It just means we have a Corresponent who has sent our concerns to the Devs...nothing more, nothing less.

Did it occur to anyone that the reason the majority of the Galaxies haven't shifted yetmight just bebecause of this bug and thedesire to get a fix before they do?

Well people would calm down if the DEVS would acknowledge it and say they are going to fix it.
We want this fixed ASAP and if they are not going to respond they need to know the player impact.

Good work Warr buddy. I've spoken to two CSRs so far, filed a ticket, and a /bug. Next on the list is to PM every red name and correspondent on these forums I guess.
