Force Sensitive Archive

I'm not really sure I want to be a full Jedi, but I would like to have the second character slot. At the point where you get the second character, how many skill points has the primary character used or have left? Can the primary character still be used for whatever professions they did before, only now with enhanced skills? I've read the guides but can't quite piece this together.

I could be wrong (wouldn't be the first time), but my understanding is that once you unlock your 'alt' your first character is fully committed to becoming a jedi and there ain't no going back. That's the whole reason why they give you a second character.

At the point you unlock you have 24 points tied up in the Force sensitive tree, and then you are free to do with the others what you want. You do not have to tie up any jedi skills if you do not want to.
