yeah you can unlock and fill up more then 6 branches if ya want. And earlier BarryD asked: "
OK, i undertsand all the boxes and trees thing, but i don't understand where the missions from the npc's come into play. I have done one mission for Whip (now says i need to get 5 more crates of supplies), but can't you just spend the 50k fs xp and start going up that enhanced reflex tree immediately? Am i just doing the missions to get some pretty baubles and a banner that waves? Or does he actually unlock something when i finish all his missions?

To answer this question, you can get all the xp you want but you can't train in boxes till you unlock the branch. This is what the quests are for, so no your not wasting your time with it.
Evanight askedif you have to get the master box in a FS tree. Answer is no, far as I can tell those boxes will do you no good and are a waste of app xp.
Ok I'm done aswering questions, ya'll have fun out there and get your butts wooped bythe butterfly of doom!

thanks for clearing the confusion, i had a good idea about this information but i wasnt 100% sure untill after i had read this thread. so thanks again

You are absolutely correct. Filling 6 branches requires 6 phases. Times three weeks per phase equals about 18 weeks. That's IF you grind out all the necessary xp during those 18 weeks.

I searched the forums but did not find the reply to the following question : let's suppose I want to unlock a second character (which would require that my current main character sacrifices 24 skills points to get the 6 branches), but I'm not interested in having a Jedi character.Would I be able to surrender the 6 FS branches after having unlocked the second character slot?
