People should learn to Play their own characters.

If I want to be a JEDI and SWG gives me a path to get there im going to take it . Its none of your business. If you have a problem with that ....LEAVE THE GAME already. Go find something else that fits into your narrow ideas about how the Star Wars U should be.

This game left the Movie canon a long time ago. Get past it already

As far as it being easy..... im a casual player who will finally get Padawan this next phase. It’s been a long journey that has taken over two years........

Judging this game by the efforts of those who have no life is pure stupidity.

I have a lot of hard working friends that have been on as long as I have. Becoming JEDI is a goal that keeps them playing. It’s a goal that is paid for month after month.

nothing wrong with total newb jedi. All the ebay-fight-club-jedi-master-noobs greatly contributed to seasoned pvper's FRS xp, as well as BH's bank accounts. newb jedi ftw!!

The only solution to this huge jedi population is to bring Perma-death back. Ive been playing since the game launched and ill unlock in the next phase. I would be honored if a Bounty Hunter kills me and have to start my jedi grinding over again. Thats how bad the continuity of the game has gotten. Just Bring Perma-death back.

I wouldnt mind perma death either, but if they did bring perma death back they would also need to fix everything that is currently broken on Jedi, such as powers and healing.

I think everyone here has very good points. Myself, I think Jedi takes just enough time. I see Jedi everywhere now which in a way makes me glad that there are MBH's everywhere as well.

I really enjoy the whole Jedi vs. BH thing.

Rakov, not to bring you down or anything but if you had nothing better to do than watch a jedi grind i feel sorry for you.

But i do understand and sympathize with what your saying.

However, the main fact remains: You have to accept this game and play it for what it is. Now i know this is a major pain with a game like this that changes alot, and flip flops more than our politicians. But we all have to remember one thing

NO ONE IS MAKING ANY OF US PLAY THIS GAME.

Not only that, but we are paying fifteen dollars a month. If you feel like you're not getting what you paid for or if you're just not enjoying it anymore than you have the free choice to quit or maybe just not play and not get so upset about stuff like this. There is an outside world with actual people and sunlight and some of us may tend to forget that this is JUST A GAME and its suposed to be fun.

I believe it is a silly idea to extending it to a year, however i have come up with my own solution. It is to simply extend the badges required. For example a player must have 8 content badges, all pois from each planet and 10 master professions. Many new players will not attempt the thought of collecting all of these badges, however many veterans will get a head start as they have had longer period to collect and expirence the game. While collecting all these badges you will explore each planet in the process.

My idea of it taking 1 and half years might sound ridiculous but it would reduce the jedi population (Eventually as those that are already jedi would still be there, although permadeath could be brought back) attracting more players that simply want to play in the star wars universe without feeling as though the have to become jedi simply to compete. Those that were adamant about becoming a jedi would stick with it for however long it takes, which guarantees more subscription fees for SOE, and once they become a jedi it will be something they can really feel as though they have achieved, instead feeling as though they ahve just collected a few tokens off the back of a cereal box.

umm.. i can't say i have seen too many posts about players leaving cause there were too many jedi. of course the population now is not near as high as it was then. It has nothing to do with the number of jedi. a year and a half ago.. the game was still new... still had new content, they were still adding stuff. Jedi was a goal most everyone has had since release. People were here cause of new game and the chance to play a jedi. Many were drawn to the star wars theme BECAUSE they could be a jedi. Do not kid yourself.. take jedi out of the game.. and it will die. I honestly believe that and that will show you that people were not here for the "star wars" feel of the game. Now of course.. there are some who don't care to be jedi... but they are few and far between and not near enough to support the game. to say the game was more popular before jedi... that is truly funny.. the post i have seen over the past year for the people that have left., the main reasons are bugged systems... poor customer service and frankly... people are bored. nothing new has been added to the game until ROTW, can't really count JTL as that is more or less a stand alone add on in my opinion and doesn't add anything really to the game. Others may argue that and they are welcome to but I only bought it to get nice easy travel times back when we still had ten minute shuttle waits. ROTW added a little bit.. but already people have worn it out. prior to ROTW nothing was really added... and sadly enough.. nothing was really fixed so people grew bored and frustrated and left. I still say i myself have never heard or seen a post about someone because there were too many jedi. Better yet... you got tons more jedi coming, so if what you ay is right.. the game should die here in a couple of months. No... people leave for many other reasons, much more important than jedi population.

As far as jedi being too easy and too quick? it is easy yeah... too quick? I think not.. but in reality the old pre pub 9 system was even easier and faster in my eyes. all you needed was a good set of macros... and a lot of time. actually less time than the village works on now. I would support a new system... but not one that takes any longer. i mean you are looking at the very least 18 weeks or 1/3 of a year to get jedi under the current system. I mean.. really that is ludicrous..... it is even worse when you have all the xp you need.. but just have to wait on village phases. and as someone mentioned earlier you migh tneed or want more the on skill from a particular phase well that could extend your wait up to 12 more weeks.. so now we are over half a year. then you have to grind the padawan trials.. i have not done those.. not sure how long they take.. but I would assume about 2 weeks. that is indeed a long time to get a character. and that does not count any buidling of the jedi character, and being hunted and beaten back down. it's sad really.. mostly it is people that have already unlocked their jedis that come and make post like this. Now that they have theirs.. they should slow them down. Frankly it wouldn't bother me if everyone on the server had jedi.. it will be that way sooner or later anyways, and I for one think.. if people pay their montly dues.. then allow them full access to the game. if I was told I couldn't unlock my jedi because there was too many... well i honestly would close out both my accts and find another game. I pay the sam fees to play as everyone else, and as such no content should ever be denied anyone who pays the fee. Now if they change the system.. I won't argue it... I mean.. it is their game anyways, and you do accept these changes when you play MMORPG's. But i would never expect to hear "sorry mr jinxwolf... but the staff has decided you cannot have your jedi.. our apologies and sorry for the inconvenience" oh i would be at SOE headquarters in a minute to start blasting people!!! LOL j/k

anyhow.. prolly tired of hearing me and I am tired of typing.. just had to pipe in with my opinion.

Yes becoming a jedi is what attracts a lot of people to the game but there are more people that are attracted to the game simply because it is star wars

What are you basing this statement off of? Please get a clue: Star Wars is jedi....jedi is Star Wars. If more people just wanted to be here because it is star wars then so many people wouldn't be jedi or grinding their way torwards it. Take jedi out of any Star Wars related movie/book/game and you haven't got a damn storyor a point to be watching/reading/playing.

I have been playing this game since launch, I unlocked a jedi the old way, and am doing it the new way on a this acct. I say bring on all the jedi who want to be jedi...they are paying to do what they want so let them. Those that are adament about being other professions besides jedi, would grind that profession and stay that profession without changing to grind out jedi. You make no point at all, you're just stating your opinion that jedi need to be rare which isn't going to be possible when so many people want and are willing to grind out jedi.
