Excellent post.
Its nice to see someone put some figures down on how long the grind takes.
I had the option to finish my 6th branch last week but have put it onhold, mainly because the FS grind was so boring so I am taking a holiday from grinding and spending a few weeks bashing things with my Sword while I still don't have to worry about cloning.

Thanks for the info, was nice to put some numbers with the "jedi is a waylonger grind than fs." Knew it was gonna be bad, but what can you expect? Otherwise every one and their moms would be jedi.

SWG is the most grindless onlinegame there is when it comes to leveling, no matter what. There is nothing here that equates to the grind you have to go through in some of the other games out there. Every game is a grind. If we remove the grind, what do we have then? A chat client with an amazing terrain engine and awesome avatars. We can't be GIVEN a master profession, or a jedi for that matter. If you quit you either had false expectations, or you just aren't cut out to play online games.
Great post by the way. I'll probably finish working on FS skills tonight, and I look so forward to shedding my armor and start having fun again. (It took me six months to master artisan, scout, marksman and ranger, with a detour into medic, BE, merchant, tailor, WS.)In those six months I never had a buff, I bought one weapon from a WS, no armor, no clothes. It was FUN to do faction missions on Dant at that time, with two of my friends and 9 (!) pets. We actually had to be careful to survive. I look forward to having to think about combat again. That's what I miss the most. And there is only one online game out there that might draw me away from SWG. And you know why? Because combat there takes a little bit of tactics, you can gain advantages by using the terrain well, etc. I hope jedi will save the game for me. The DWB has been beaten on my server now, so there is nothing else that can give me a real challenge and keep me interested.

I am glad to see this post. The transition to the jedi grind is what seperates the boys from the men and the girls from the women.
