Thread: A revamp of the path of force sensitivity

I doubt I am the only one who is dead tired of this monotone and seemingly endless grind. The path to becoming a jedi in swg has more or less nothing to do with the learning of the force which we meet in the starwars universe (neither the movies nor the novels). I can understand the need for a long path to becoming a jedi to prevent the entire universe from being overrun so that's not what I'm saying. I do however mean that we need a new (perhaps) quest based path to becoming a jedi. ...Umm this is a new quest based system to get Jedi. It is far better than the stupid profession grind which pointlessly wasted resources et al. You get to use what ever profession you want. Yeah it is monotonous, but so is the Jedi grind. And it needs to be hard, we aren't playing KOTOR where you sign on to be a Jedi. We are playing Galaxies where you can do whatever you like. Some things are easy and some are hard.
I'd rather see new themeparks and caves like DWB, Geo, and the Vette than another fix to something that not everyone cares about that was fixed less than 6 months ago.
First of all, I have to state that I am defenitely no fan of the previous proffession grind system. I personally think that grind was a worse way to gain the secrets of the force than our current system. It did serve a purpose though, and that was keeping jedi rare since not many people had the dedication to go through all the proffessions.
I have never wined about the FS grind being hard. I just think that the current system is not enough to fulfill the players longing for mythology which fits into the starwars world. The path to jedi is supposed to be hard and I think we should make it even harder than it currently is. Hopefully though, we can do it through tough missions which can (perhaps) be more like the village unlock quests.
P.S Good suggestion Shaakarr. Keep them comming people.

But impliment a HUGE LONG "themepark" with series of quests where you have to ACT like a jedi or sith to pass, a series of them each "phase" as they are now.
That both keeps the time to Padawan long, and eliminates the "you need to kill 50,000 pikets to get initiate" nonsense.
Add the darkside/lightside point system to the game once you get FS, and have _ALL_ your actions with PC's and NPC's potentially factor into them. If you are going lightside and go out ganking other players, or npc's indiscriminately, perform griefing actions, refuse to help weaker players or NPC's of your faction when asked, you get darkside points, and your NPC questor will refuse to give you the next quests until you make up for it. For darkside, the opposite happens, etc.
In other words, force prospective jedi to have to ACT like jedi to get their saber!

Which one ?? I have posted one idea made by chroma-key and asked others to post their own ideas and/or ways to improve the systems of the previous posters.
