Yes, I managed to defeat him with one other person who was MDefender also...takes time, but it can be done. We got a crystal out of that trip. The next 11 or so trip with 2 other Jedi yielded no crystal, then we got one on the trip after those. This was all after the patch so it is defnitely still dropping...just very rare, and very hard to get.

Why is same name is our corrspondent worried about loot drops? How about worrying about fixing our profession and making us not the laughing stock of the galaxy. Gezzz people have their priporities in the wrong place.

did it 4 times yesterday with a part of 5 master defenders, 1 enhancer and 2 powers.

Well I went down there solo, no problem getting to him but dam....level 92 lol.
As a Master Defender I had no problems tanking him, problem was I may of been spiting at him for all the damage I was doing with MLS and a 640 dps saber. Not sure if he is soloable considering he has his little minons beating on me at the same time. 10 mins of tanking, maybe got 25-30% of health down then I gave up and let him kill me.....there is no way Jedi can do enough damage by themselves.

I looted one last night, it is a somewhat rare drop and you might have to kill him a few times but i have proven a theory well almost proven a theory that the person looting must not already have the crystal, it seems that out of 5 or so kills someone who didn't have it has gotten it but out of 10-15 of the samer person looting who already had it they did not get another.

I went down there with a group of 5 jedi. We had a couple of defenders, but just couldnt do enough damage to him. Every so often he would run back and recharge his health bar to full.
Is this just a matter of doing so much damage inbetween the times he goes to recharge, or is there some kind of trick to him?

Couldn't kill him...I am master defender, my friend is MLS / MEnh....I had no problems tankingthe level 92(with aura and infusion, one holocron, channel, some transfers from my friend) but our damage output was a problem. Even after we killed the guards and blew up the powercells, he would unaggro and heal back to full every now and then. At best we had him down to 95% of his 45k health.
Only master defenders can stand within range of his dervish and live. Next time we'll try with more ranged firepower.

Three loots since the 92 patch, got a polearm, a sword, a VK and two of the same master smuggler pistols (plus the arms and ship deeds) in all. Hardly statistically significant... that's at least 4 different items he can drop for 5 kills I've done, none of them the crystal.

What's to prevent bh's from ganking you while yoru doing this? I've yet to go there, so dont really know.
