Completing one holo and one non-holo profession won't yield a free branch. There are 6 branches required and 8 professions needed before this publish. You did 2which means 8-2=6 no freebies and that's assuming the non-holo one was one of the remaining 7 professions you needed.

Hey all. This is my first post here on the SWG Forum but I've been reading everything. I have some questions that I didn't see anyone ask.

How do you know what phase you're in?

Does everyone start in Phase one?

I know it's 3 weeks until you can start another quest. When does the 3 week period start, the day you completed the quest?

Is there an NPC that tells you how many days remaining till you can start the next quest?

And finally,

I mastered 1 holo, and1non-holo profession prior to publish 9. I talked to Paemos in the village, and I see no option to get my free branch unlocked. I submitted a ticket to SOE, but was wondering if anyone else had this problem?

Heres one thing you could do to get jedi within 6 phases. Although you can only do this if u don't care about the force senstive stuff. Im all melee so anything in combat prowess that deals with range is useless but im grinding it anyway. Heres what im going to do. Phase 1: Ranged Accuracy Phase 2: Melee Speed Phase 3: Melee Accuracy Phase 4: Melee Defence Phase 1 again: Survival Phase 2 again: Vehicular Control Then all i have to worry about is the xp grind. The ranged accuracy and survival r useless to me but its better than waiting 30 some weeks to fianlly get jedi. I would of rather done Persuasion than survival but then i would have to grind another 50k fs xp for novice senses. Now if i did the skills i want which is Melee speed and accuracy, melee and ranged defence, Vehicular Control, and Luck. Phase 1: nothing i want here Phase 2: melee speed, vehicular control, and luck Phase 3: melee accuracy and ranged defence Phase 4: melee defence If i did it that way i would have to go through the phases at least 3 times. It would be around 34 weeks to get jedi. Which would you rather do 34 weeks or 16 weeks? This is the quickest way i know of to get jedi without free unlocks.

Finally updated with the Padawan Trials, after this it's just grinding, and if you got to this point, you know how to grind!!

Thanks for your support and advice so far, I have a couple of days off, will try to be here to answer any questions and correct any errors. I will also try to add an FAQ since I find that a lot of questions are being asked, that are similar.

just a couple questions, hope they havnt already been answered,

1- how do u know when a phase change comes into effect? for my jedi template i dont want tomaster a thing in the first phase, will this be a problem? or will i just have to wait till it changes to the 2nd phase?

2- how do the free unlocks work? I know it has something to do with how many professions u've mastered but how exactly does it work? in pub9 i mastered 8 or 9 (4 holo and the few for my silent) profs, how many free unlocks (if any) will this grant me?

any lightanyone could shed would be helpful.

does vehicle control and luck carry over into the jedi phase? or is it like ranged/melee speed/accuracy and doesnt carry over.

current template: Master Swordsman/ Master Brawler/ Master Fencer/ 4-0-0-1 tka +12 fs melee speed. speed capped 2 hand goodness.
