Thread: Forget combat, what about medical!?

OK, I guess I could understand the combat XP thing. Nades and all that. Hell i'm TKM/mDoc (pre-CU, no respec ever), and I used nades occasionally. But look at medic!


It was 10:1 before. The cap at my temp (which included 4440 medic for spray and toss) was 1.2 mil, which gave me 120k of senses XP per cap. And capping medical wasn't exactly the easiest thing. With 'nading it didnt matter the CL of your group. You naded before, incapped, then went at the base like regular. But with medical, in a group of all CL's over 70, if not all 80's, no one takes any damage. Usually I just sat back and healed, rather than splitting my XP between medical, combat, and unarmed, or whatever weapon I was using to pick up a few spare XP.


Now, when I cap, my XP bombs from 120k senses XP to only 40k! That's *does the math* a...a crapload of % drop! Now cmon, I'm not about to drop my own template just to pick up dancer or entertainer or artisan or any of that!

I'm not a medic so I can't answer but I think I may have an idea of why they changed it.


First let me ask . . . how much med XP do you get when you heal someone? Is it about the same amount as you would get in weapon XP if you struck the critter the healed person was fighting?


The only thing I can possible think of is they changed to match weapons XP because it is a combat skill now therefore they gave it the same conversion rate as weapons (and now combat).


It may be an early move to make medic XP convert to combat and refles FS XP . . . I guess we have to wait and see

Wow, just wow. Devs really hate players.They have taken a good game and in a series of useless publishes destroyed it.


OK so the latest thing is this XP conversion nerf.That blows! BH CM here and I hate HATE HATE GRINDING!!! its like the anti-game. Its not fun at all for me, horribly repetitive, tedious, monotonous, mind numbing crap. I dont grind but like one session per week. so i liked being able to get 2.7m weps xp 300k combat and 1.2m medical and i even bothered for 75k scouting. Thats a decent amount of FS xp but now, its like ULTRANERFED its too time consuming to bother.


So thats just one. What about all these horrible bugs in the game? I dont know if im alone but anyone ever get the message "You cannot use KD recovery while KD?" sounds kinda stupid to me? Ive submitted that like 10 times already to bug reports. Thats a major issue for me being a BH and having jedi use saber throw every 30 seconds.With that msg panned across my screen about 5 times im taking like 5-6-7 hits and still not able to get up.I think the standard is supposed to beone hit and you get up. Needless to say i hardly ever win a battle because 95% of people will kd you right away and 95% im unable to get up after one or two hits.


It would be awesome if they fixed that but instead they just add more lame content like a new weapon that isnt really good enough to be used and just sits on display in ppls houses. Or maybe a new quest that doesnt work right most of the time. That way instead of fixing something that matter they can spend their hours fixing stupid crap.


I could go onand on about all the BS like CU and FRS or Jedi Expo's in the center of cnet and theed. the list is endless but ill leave it there and just say that im pissed off that this game is not the one i bought and if i had known this is what would become i wouldnt have bought it. No wonder why SWG is one of the smallest MMOs and its losing players everday.
