true, but for those of us without jtl, it cost 2-4k to travel to dath and back, and around 8 minutes if you count the village drive. 2-4k several times a day, every day, for weeks. can get a lil expensive if your not rolling in credits.
You're doing missions in a solo group, you'll make that money back .

bah, there is little to no money in solo groups anymore. in a full solo group, my baznitch mission yielded me like a few hundered credits. maybe 1200 at most.

Not if you areIMP and have an AT-ST. With the new changes to the gcw , you can pull out your AT-ST and only have to be a combant so your are only in PvE , no PvP to worry about killing it while you are off grinding and making the full amount for each mission. sry to all you Rebs that done have any kool faction pets.

If you enjoy doing other things besides grinding FS xp like a crazed madman here's some things to think about.
A master Swordsman can easily cap Weapons XP within a buff session.
If u cap once per day it will take u 20 days to fill a branch. Each phase is 3 weeks so your not losing much time until basically your last unlock as let's say you started at Phase 1 20 days of 1 cap day grinding. Phase 2 comes in 20 days of 1 Cap per day grinding Phase 3,4, go the same. Phase 1 comes back and u repeat like before. Phase 2 comes in, Now if you chose to cap more then 1 time per day then you might have the XP already and won't have another 20 days of 1 cap per day grinding.
Don't know what the rush is really with some of the people that are doing the FS grind as you can't make the phases go any faster.

i think the big rush is people want to hurry and cap all the necessary xp to train 6 tree's, that way we can get back to our old templetes and have fun for the remainder of our time. but me, i was lazy and didnt start playing again till thel ast 3 days of phase 4. i got one more tree left to unlock, but around 3 mil 750k xp left to grind out. i want this xp outa my system lol so i turned to commando nades. its working just fine so far.

Ok, here's the deal on using Grenades. Giant Baz nitches grant about 4k Combat XP if you destroy them only using Grenades. At lvl 99 missions there are about 15 per lair. This equates to about 66k combat XP per lair. Which means in about 4.5 lairs you've maxed out your combat XP. And your already on Dath so you save time by having easy access to the Village.
Huurton Stalkers however grant about 5k combat XP. However I'm not sure how many of these you can get per lair, I would wager that there is more then 15 but I can't verify that as I haven't count. On the downside though I believe there lairs can generate babies which would decrease your avg. combat XP per lair. And then you also have to travel to Dath and all the way out to the village to convert your combat XP so it can take a little longer in some ways. But it's easier to get a solo group on Dant. then it is on Dath.
I get 5000 combat XP, plus 500 Combat XP for every Giant Baz Nitch I kill, thats 5500 x 15 = roughly 75-80k (Giant Baz Nitches never spawn babies), I cap every 4 lairs (before I finish the 4th to be exact) Huurton Stalker lairs are more rare on the Dantooine Terms (lots of refreshing) and more time wasted traveling.
I use Imperial Detonaters, 4 'Nade sets per lair, finish with TKM.
IMHO c12 just are not worth the extra time (slower throw time without 4/x/x/x Commando), extra BF, wounds, armor decay.
If you are going to grind with nades might as well go for the whole Enchilada and get 4/x/x/x Commando.
Ofcourse this is my own personal experiences, and am not going to debate whats better just saying that I can cap 4 times a buff without really having to hurry.

Train Novice Commando and go up the Field Tactics tree.
Use weaponsmith crafted grenades to destroy lairs and maximise your Combat xp.

no, you simply unlock the ability to train in the specified branch (in this case melee defense). you now need to swap your normal xp (such as combat xp) with Paemos at the village into which ever FS xp you require (for melee defense it is enhanced reflex FS xp). then, once you have enough FS xp to train in the melee defense boxes, go to Noldan at the village main entrance and he will teach you. i hope this has been of some help and feel free to ask if you need anything else explaining
