The CU has Made it possible to max out weapons xp 2x quicker then post-CU. Grenades by themselves is completely idiotic. If you use a mix of area attack and grenades you should get plenty of combat xp and weapons xp. It works for me. Maxed out combat xp by itself is not as good as max out combat and maxed out weapon xp combined... it may take a bit longer but you get a betterFS xp total.

He is not BS'ing. It can be done. 8 people can pull 16 missions. CL80 missions are worth 5000-6000 weapons and 500-600 combat xp per hit. Notice I said per hit. Yea, if 8 are nailing on the creature at the same time, it will do down fast. As soon as that creature is dead, the puller should already have pulled and rooted the next creature, rinse and repeat. Get lairs with lots of spawns and you can really rake it in. And it doesnt take long at all.


The key here is remembering the one hit rule. A good team can cycle creatures so that a creature is going down and immediately another is ready. S/B a good medic/doc/cm in the group to spam heals too.


3 million xp I am thinking was with the dbl xp, but should still cap weapons easy enough.


5000 x 16 (average) = 80,000 weapon per lair, multiplied by 16 missions (1,280,000weapons)


now add in combat,


500 x 16 = 8000 * 16 = 128,000


for about 85333 FS experience.


This takes about 1-1 1/2 hr to do. Or less depending on how close the missions are together, how long per lair, etc.

wait what makes combat cap above 300? I'm MBH/MP/CM 4/xxx and I was up to 500 combat xp the other day...

But I do the weapon grind myself.. with a competent well equipped group doing nothing but bols, it shouldn't take longer than 5 secs to bring down each creature. it is rather fast...

being a BH is one way to get combat xp to cap at 900k instead of 300k. I believe commando can as well.

A combination of grenades and weapons is definately the fastest. I managed to grind enough FS xp for all 6 branches during my first phase of village (thanks to double xp).


Anyway, as a BH and rifleman, I can cap rifle at 1.2 mil, pistol and carbine at 900k and combat xp at 900k. The only way to get 900k combat xp fast, and without maxing weapon xp too soon is to use nades.

So let me get this right? You want 7 people to let you throw a granade in to lair and make them kill it all while you watch ftom your incap? I say more power to you. IMHO that rude to the other 7 people in the group. I have MCM/MBH and in about an hour i can cap pistols /rifle/carbs. 900.000xp each. To me this is plenty fast. Doing it this way I have the XP to unlock all 6 trees now. I still have to wait 3 more phases to unlock them, Try taking some time to enjoy the game. Have you read the jedi forums? Everyone in there is pissing and moning because the nerfs to jedi. Why Casue they power grinded to get it and now they dont have GOD MODE anymore. Words of advice Good things come to those who wait. Its a GAME try to enjoy it not power grind to the end it will just make you more upset when you get there.

Grinding combat xp is much faster than using weapons xp BY FAR. by using grenades with a group i can make combat xp as FAST as you normal people can make Weapons xp . IE: 1 in the time it takes YOU to get 900k weapons xp I CAN MAKE 900k COMBAT xp. When you go to trade in your 900K weapons xp you will get roughly ..30k FS XP while I will get 300k fs xp due to combat xp being a 3 to 1 ratio ...so no grinding weapons xp is NOT the answer because when you go to cap out your second weapon i will also now have 600k fs xp to your 60k fs xp ....so it makes no sense to say you can cap out multipul weapons and get more xp.

You all realize that in the time it takes you to max ur combat xp you can cap all your weapons 2 more times, right? That cuts ur grind time down massively. I calculated that it would take 66 days to grind all the fs xp you need for jedi if you cash in when you max 3 weapons(i'm a bh, so carbs, rifles, pistols). If I waited to cap combat xp every time before I traded in, it would take me 107 days.(this is at a pretty slow grinding pace) But the multiplier is the same. You can grind out jedi 61% fasterif you don't wait to cap combat. just a thought.

Actually Weapon's exp is no where near faster. Here is a legitimate system that gets every last point of experience in just over 30 hours:






30.625 hours for all 7,350,000 FS experience in Combat/Reflexes. Here's how:


Grenade throwing earmed me about 100k of combat exp for that one lair and creatures alone. So I can see why it's so popular and if someone has a strong PA with several Jedi willing to power level you. Wow now I can see how people can max out all their combat exp in a single week. If you're a MBH you can get100k combat per lair x 9 missions, each lair taking about 3 minutes with a group full of say 4 Jedi, 2 CM and x amount of Grenade throwers another 2 minutes of travel and down time. 5 minutes x 9 missions is 45 minutes to Cap combat, 30 minutes to village and back (death at village for quick port back). So thats 24.5 trips to the village. You are looking at 30.625 hours for the entire 7,350,000 FS combat/reflex exp necessary for 6 skill trees. WOW.


Here's the math:

100,000 combat exp per lair. That comes from 6k combat per creature and the lair its self. I was getting about 6350 on average which included a 10% entertainer buff.


100k x 9 lairs = 900k combat exp cap.

900k combat exp = 300k FS combat/reflex EXP

5 minutes to kill the lair and travel to the next lair

5 minutes x 9 lairs = 45 minutes to cap combat experience

30 minutes to get to village and back to Dant converting your exp.

thats 75 minutes per cap/conversion trip


four boxes of combat/reflexes requires 1,225,000 FS experience

1,225,000 x 6 = 7,350,000


7,350,000 / 300k = 24.5


24.5 trips x 75 minutes = 1837.5 minutes / 60 = 30.625 hours


Of course that's at optimal conditions, which if you are in a big enough PA with enough high end Jedi Knights should be fairly easy to maintain.


So those that say it's possible to cap all the experience you need in a single week are completely correct. It's not only possible, it's actually easy and possible to be done in just two days! Of course that's 15-16 hours per day with 5-6 others so that's pretty impossible, but I'd definetely say it's very plausible to get it done in 4 nights.






While I do not have a PA and 4-5 Jedi Knights to help me I am sure there are a lot people who and are doing this system.


I am a MBH/Pistoleer 0404/Ranger 4000. My caps are Combat 900k, Pistol 1.2 mil, Carb/Rifles 900k, Scout 1 mil.


Pistol + Rifle + Carb = 3,000,000 total weapon xp. / 30 = 100,000 FS xp


900,000 Grenades / 3 = 300,000 FS xp


My math abovefigures in reasonable amounts of time. The Weapons Xp system does not.


I am an experienced players with the caps I mentioned above. I have hunted with excellent groups with up to 3 Mid-High end Jedi. We were popping lairs, every critter in them in about 3 minutes each. 2 Minutes to travel from mission to mission. I'd cap Pistols at 1.2 mil in about an hour to an hour and a half depending on Entertainer Buffs, CL of missions (78-82 does make a difference). I'd cap Rifles/Carb in about another 2 hours. I never CAPPED COMBAT when those other three Weapon Groups were CAPPED... NEVER, NOT ONCE. The closest I got was about 450k on the night I tested the Grenades system and Grenaded one Lair/Creatures and got about 150k.


Combat Xp is awarded as 10% of weapon exp. So if your weapon Xp Cap is 3,000,000 then your only going to have 300,000 combat of your possible 900k as is your Cap as a BH.


All these theories about Weapons be as fast or faster are not true. Weapons exp is far slower, it would take you nearly double the time of the Grenade grind system I have outlined above.


HOWEVER, it is far easier to just get in a group and Cap out your EXP at 3 mil and 300k for most players. Few have the PA resources available to constantly have SERIOUS POWER-LEVEL teams as would be required to Grenade optimally.


So if all things are Equal Grenading is by far the fastest way. To the average person it really works out about same, except you won't be hated for Capping weapons while you may be for Grenading.

yea just dont listen to this guy..it is faster to use grenades. If you have a group that is so strong that it can tank the entire lair you should have been nading that group in the first place instead of AoE'n them

I do not get it but I know I can do a total maxout on every weapon and combat xp(which 3.9 mill regular xp, 400k FS) at least 3 times a day. If I start early enough I can do it 5 times a day. So for me that is anywhere from 1.2 - 2 mill a day in FS xp. Unfortunatly with my work schedule I cannot do this everyday.
