Thread: Weapons exp is faster than grinding Combat exp... read!
He is not BS'ing. It can be done. 8 people can pull 16 missions. CL80 missions are worth 5000-6000 weapons and 500-600 combat xp per hit. Notice I said per hit. Yea, if 8 are nailing on the creature at the same time, it will do down fast. As soon as that creature is dead, the puller should already have pulled and rooted the next creature, rinse and repeat. Get lairs with lots of spawns and you can really rake it in. And it doesnt take long at all.
The key here is remembering the one hit rule. A good team can cycle creatures so that a creature is going down and immediately another is ready. S/B a good medic/doc/cm in the group to spam heals too.
3 million xp I am thinking was with the dbl xp, but should still cap weapons easy enough.
5000 x 16 (average) = 80,000 weapon per lair, multiplied by 16 missions (1,280,000weapons)
now add in combat,
500 x 16 = 8000 * 16 = 128,000
for about 85333 FS experience.
This takes about 1-1 1/2 hr to do. Or less depending on how close the missions are together, how long per lair, etc.

But I do the weapon grind myself.. with a competent well equipped group doing nothing but bols, it shouldn't take longer than 5 secs to bring down each creature. it is rather fast...

being a BH is one way to get combat xp to cap at 900k instead of 300k. I believe commando can as well.
A combination of grenades and weapons is definately the fastest. I managed to grind enough FS xp for all 6 branches during my first phase of village (thanks to double xp).
Anyway, as a BH and rifleman, I can cap rifle at 1.2 mil, pistol and carbine at 900k and combat xp at 900k. The only way to get 900k combat xp fast, and without maxing weapon xp too soon is to use nades.

You all realize that in the time it takes you to max ur combat xp you can cap all your weapons 2 more times, right? That cuts ur grind time down massively. I calculated that it would take 66 days to grind all the fs xp you need for jedi if you cash in when you max 3 weapons(i'm a bh, so carbs, rifles, pistols). If I waited to cap combat xp every time before I traded in, it would take me 107 days.(this is at a pretty slow grinding pace) But the multiplier is the same. You can grind out jedi 61% fasterif you don't wait to cap combat. just a thought.

It takes me roughly 30-40 mins to grind out 3.6mill weapons xp, which INCLUDES my 300k combat... and that means I get 2x as much xp... I don't understand why you would try to grind combat exp when you can grind weapons at the SAME time, and probably FASTER than you could grind combat!!!

30.625 hours for all 7,350,000 FS experience in Combat/Reflexes. Here's how:
Grenade throwing earmed me about 100k of combat exp for that one lair and creatures alone. So I can see why it's so popular and if someone has a strong PA with several Jedi willing to power level you. Wow now I can see how people can max out all their combat exp in a single week. If you're a MBH you can get100k combat per lair x 9 missions, each lair taking about 3 minutes with a group full of say 4 Jedi, 2 CM and x amount of Grenade throwers another 2 minutes of travel and down time. 5 minutes x 9 missions is 45 minutes to Cap combat, 30 minutes to village and back (death at village for quick port back). So thats 24.5 trips to the village. You are looking at 30.625 hours for the entire 7,350,000 FS combat/reflex exp necessary for 6 skill trees. WOW.
