18 April you joined so 23 professions before patch 9 thats great 23 professions in 5 months. I Agree it was a lot harder then me have to do 21 weeks only to get my boxes open or should i say 5 months but your right in that time i can grind my master crafting title, i only have to do it 33 times to get enough xp to fill those boxes. You had to grind 23 different professions i have to grind the same profession 33 times to get me 2/3 on the way yet you say i got the easy way?

If you are to curse on people, least you can do is find a calculator and a calendar and do some math. Everyone that have done it agree on one thing the old way was better and faster, but those that did it the old way dont really know what the new way are they got it for free.

LOL, forgot I was on my weaponsmith alt. Anyhow on this toon I did 23 professions, and got 4 free trees, anyhow, there is no skill in someone learning one prof and then taking max XP caps to the village !

Cry more or whatever, It's typical of noobs that want jedi. I ground professions from scratch back when you walked everywhere ! NO MOUNTS, NO SPEEDERS !

So until you whiners do some real grinding, shut the F*&( up ! After 23 professions I still required 2 trees to finish. I wish this new way was around at the start, i would have gotten DOC and AFKed a tumbler everyday, quite simple to max when your not at a keyboard. So whatever you think works, is your choice, but don't cry its too easy.

It should take 1 year to have the most elite toon in the game, not the way it is, or this should be jedi academy. Funny part is SOE is rumored to be loosing their contract after JTL, and Lucas Arts is taking 100% control. First thing Lucas is doing : ENDING JEDI ! GET ER INTO YAS, if this happens none of this means anything lol

Just felt compelled to respond here as there seems to be some confusion. To wit, time vs . difficulty

There is no question that it REQUIRES more xp. points total to get a Jedi now. To clarify, yes you ground out x number of profs to get it in the old system...but only five were required. The xp. total now far far exceeds the total xp. for 5 profs. Do the math, you will see. Difficulty is different. The reason you had to grind the number of profs you did is because the Jedi path was hidden, the "silent" holo. So is the new path more difficult than the old one? That is subjective to each individual experience.

You may have had a very hard time with some of those profs...who am I to say? I can tell you though that the raw xp. needed to Jedi Initiate is very hard indeed. It will take millions of regular xp. points to get it, providing you got no free unlocks. As for the grinding aspect, the old is the exact same as the new. It's all grinding. So in that regard, new Jedi will be no Different than old Jedi. Now for the rest of your rant.

Your reference to grinding docs etc. and so on. Evidently you have not been paying to much attention, the crafters and non-coms...like docs, have it the hardest of any one right now. They have to produce goods from materials that are only dropped by sith kills. I would say it would be very difficult for even a Master Doctor with no fighting skills to kill the lowliest sith. In other words, your bashing of them was mis-informed and undeserved.

As for it being made easier, I say no...the harder the better (with a bit of leaning towards making it easier for non-coms, they really do have it bad) . Because it should be difficult, very difficult.

I think you are the type of Jedi (or Jedi wannabe)that made me refuse to take part in the deal to begin with. Loud mouthed , arrogant and presumptuous. A kid who had many many hours to set in front of the PC and grind profs so you could walk around with your "1337 uber toon" and say " I pwned you noob". It's too bad that becoming Jedi is just a massive grind, rather than a measure of character. Because if it was a measureof character, IMHO you would begrinding for many many years before realizing you just didn't have what it takes. That is just the impression I got of you from from your post.

Actually if your a working adult with kids and dont have the 80 bijillion hours to play you are at a huge disadvantage here and it will take forever to get FS done. I seriously doubt they will do anything to make it easier as the longer it takes you, the longer you play the game, the more $$ you pay them. I'd rather have the hologrind myself than these goofy things but thats just me.

Im married, 4 kids, work 3rd shift, and do not have 80 bajillion hours on my hands, but since I started playing July 2003 I was able to master 17 profs which lead to 4 free unlocks come Old Man day. I just finished my 6th branch(I could have done it 3 weeks ago but screwed up my freebies a bit and had to wait til now to get the ranged def one, silly me). So yes, it will take a while for people who have not holo grinded previously. But that was a choice you made long ago, cant blame the devs for that. Since I dont have tons of time free to play I use my time wisely by grinding in higher xp places. I prefer Endor, lots of creatures and hardly anyone there to share it with. Just use your time more effectively and you can "grind" through fs xp pretty quickly. You "should" be able to get all the xp you need for your branch during the same phase, if you use your time smartly.

You areright, this is a multiplayer game but, if you look at the movie introduction online it states in big letters that you can in fact be in a group, or go it alone. You cant go it alone, and that blows. Go to Dantooine and get a solo group then go straight to Dathomir and do rancor missions. This way you dont have a member of your group around jacking your mission, taking your money and your xp. There is nothing worse than having some idiot steal your money and your kill. It is insane to grind this amout of xp and anyone is insane to not agree. The bonus you get for the skills arent worth it either. If you have to dedicate 2 hours or more of game time to grinding xp it isnt really fun at all.

You are a nOOb! Again we are dealing with the people that want a free ride. It is not easy to become a Jedi and it is not easy to be a Jedi. If you can't handle it now, stop. Do yourself a favour, quit while you are ahead. Jedi is not for you. I think it is time to bump my thread for all of those that want a free ride. I hate to do it but it has to be done.

I love when you whiny kids of any age try and justify a dumb arguement. If you did not have to walk 1500m a mission, and not try and survive on 50% comp armor with buffs of 500-900 statrs, no food, and just moen gold to boost your mind to get armor on thats encumbrance was so high it was disgusting....

Grow up, quit whining, as for character, I don't know about you, but I imagine maace windu didnt cry, ooooh poor me another trial... boo hoo, but yoda I don't want to do that, i want to be a jedi master today, its been 3 weeks, this is not fair.

Give me a break, and grow up... to cap a mastered profession takes 90mins and to grind a prof from scratch in the begining of this game could take months, there were no solo groups, etc. and thats reality.

Now with food, buffs, etc a master prof in combat can cap a tree in 3 days, i did it. It is nothing. Best part I was AFK in the GEO caves doing it ! LMAO

SO DO NOT CRY ITS HARD, your noobs that were too scared to grind other profs, simple. I never ran around using those retarded terms you just used and I took time to PvP, I have a master weaponsmith alt char that is doing the trees to, has 4 profs done, NO COMBAT, but I am still going to do it, and not whine.

THIS IS NOT CITY OF ZERO'S where you can be a lvl 65 char in 2 weeks ladies sorry

IF you think it is easier and quicker to get jedi now u are full o shiznat. If you were to have 0 unlocks you need 18 weeks just to unlock the profs. Then you have to beat the unbalanced mel and do the lame padawan trials.

A suggestion for you. Don't do it. Plain and simple.

Well lucky you. I am just mad at the people who just come into the game and don't want to work at getting what they want. I am starting from scratch with no free branches. I never did the holo grind my only holo was ID and I never did it. I chose to do it this way. It will take me 18 weeks to do it because I F'd up in the first phase. Oh well I won't cry I just move on.
