You speak reason, War. Definitely you do.

I suspect that the use of grenades as a shortcut through the FS grind wasn't conceived in advance. You and I disagree on this point, obviously, but being a developer myself I can say that it's next to impossible to figure out every way in advance that someone else will use your product. People find ways to break my stuff that I could have never *dreamed* of in development, lol!

Grenades, for the moment, are just that: a shortcut. Commandos are at a pretty hefty advantage because they get access to the most lucrative of this shortcut genre, imps and therms. I see what you're saying about C-12s being available for everyone, but there's a mountain of difference between C-12s and imps; surely a master artisan knows this much better than I do.

And you're right about the Jedi grind: no matter how quickly these (in my eyes) exploiters rush through Aurillia, they're gonna hit the same brick wall at the end of it. So maybe in the long run, it doesn't matter. But John Maynard Keynes, famous economist of the 20th century, said:

"In the long run, we're all dead."

The people who need to be really screaming are the profs that get Sense xp (medics/docs/cm, scout/ranger, etc). Those poor people get SCREWED! No wonder there's so much afk grinding going on; it'd be nearly impossible otherwise. I'm a master swordsman / tkm, so if I cap 2-hand and unarmed I convert 120k FS xp on a trip, but man it sucks terribly for non combat profs.

Wicked good idea warryyr, if i was you i would try to mention that to some of the devs..just to see a response. I would rather play at my own pace and increase Forse than grinding hours on end. I will be honest, i will use the grenade method to get to jedi because i do not have the patients to grind out 2 "L337" professions, max their XP then run to villiage and repeat...the grenade is much faster, and as long as the method is useable, more power to those who decide to use it. Yea we are cheap for doing it, but its a game, and i could care less what others think about me..personally i hope they keep the granade grind in, because it keeps everyone happy except for those who dont want to make the effort.

Just my two cents m8!

I could pitch the idea to the Devs, yeah

Might be a decent way for casual gamers to gain some force sensitive xp, without having to spend 1 1/2 years casually playing and converting xp, until you finally get a Jedi.

I think the predominant fear of those who are seeing the "1 week grinders" get Jedi so fast is that the Jedi will run rampant because everyone will do this. The fact is, not everyone can afford to do it, not everyone wants to make the effort to respec to Commando, not everyone wants to do a boring grenade-chucking fest in the middle of Dathomir, and so on. Some people are content to just let the xp come as they play. Some give up entirely on Jedi. The majority don't even bother, I'll bet.

According to our well-aware Commando Correspondent, there is no mention of any chaning of the xp in grenades, nor changing the combat xp ratio. So I say SPAM those nades. Probably during the CU...which is months away?

It DOES take much more $$ (unless you have a very nice WS), more time healing, more $ for armor. But it is noticeably faster.
