I think this is a joke. If its not......

did you actually read the box? You realize you didn't buy KOTOR right? If this isn't a joke, this has got to be the most uninformed, uneducated post I've seen in a long time.

not even close to being able to be on the terminals and already complaining about bounty hunters? and if BH's couldn't hunt jedi's then who would you have them hunt? the BH profession was put into the game to fight jedi's, it's not a perk.. it's thier job.

1. Phases should last only a max of 2 weeks (That extra week going to kill you? FYI, you can store up XP the entire time between phases usually)

2. Novice professions like Novice Reflexes should only cost a max of 10,000 Jedi XP to learn instead of the rediculous 50,000 Jedi XP

3. There should be alternate, non fighting ways to become a Jedi

4. The trip to Jedi Padawan should only take about 5-6 months after becoming Force Sensitive (Sort of contradictory, you say in your post that it takes you 5 days to get a full tree...why on EARTH would it take you 5-6 months to get to Padawan???)

5. Bounty Hunters should not be allowed to hunt Jedi, or visibility should only be given if you show your robes/sabers in front of a non Faction member.

6. Conversion Rates should be lowered, weapons xp should be converted to Jedi XP for just 10:1 instead of 30:1

7. Jedi skills shouldn't cost any Skill Points whatsoever. (Yea, I'd love to be BH running into a Defense Stacked Jedi Knight LOL)

8. The 2nd Character Slot should be available to people who don't want the Jedi but just want the 2nd slot.

9. The Village should be less Grind oriented and more Quest oriented, Grinding just isn't fun at all. (Couldn't agree more)

10. Jedi should be the most powerful characters in the game, able to kill even Squills in just 5-10 lightsaber hits. (Squills are UBER!)

Those are only a few things that I think should be changed.

Sorry for the complaining, however I'm at the end of my wits and am not happy that I'm going to have to waste that much amount of my time to just get to my goal of Jedi Initiate. (Ebay.com)

Takes about 4 hours to get slightly stronger than a novice brawler, not to mention you are doing this alone and in the middle of no where, worried that any dot onthe screen could be the difference between being the hunter and the hunted.

Compare apples with apples:

Novice Box (Jedi = 20k, FS = 50k)FS probably has this banked,compared to Jedi's 3-4 hours.

Level 1 Box(200k Jedi xp vs 175k FS XP) Jedi this probably takes around 5 hours. FS this probably takes 3 hours. (Using grenades, 1 hour tops)

Level2 Box (400k Jedi xp, vs 250k FS xp) Jedi this probably takes about 8-10 hours. FS,4-5 hours. (Grenades, 2-3 hours)

Level 3 Box (800k Jedi Xp vs 350k FS xp) Jedi, no idea, probably more than 2 buff sessions. FS, 6-7 hours (3-4 with grenades)

Level 4 Box (1.6 Million vs 450K) Jedi, no clue. FS, 10 hours (I dont know, never tried it with weapons). Nades, 4-5 hours.

I'm not one to complain a lot, however I have recently become FS, and I am NOT at all happy with the way the Village is set up.

Right now, the Village and the path to Jedi Initiate is way way way way too hard to accomplish, I am going to have to spend one ENTIRE year just to get to initiate just because the phases are WAY too long. At max it'd take me only 5 days to complete 1 out of the 6 trees, That is saying that I am going to have to wait the rest of the 5 to 6 weeks doing nothing...

I'm not going to play for 6 more months, I don't view this game as being enough fun to play for 6 more months, it is too hard and too time consuming.

My question, as shown above is why does the path to Initiate have to be so hard and so time consuming? I am someone who would rather have Jedi handed to me w/o even 2 weeks of work. I am used to playing games that at max I can beat in just a matter of weeks, I just don't like the idea of playing this game for months and months NEVER beating it. I just regard it as a cheap way for a company to make money...

Here are the following changes I wish for the Jedi path, although I know that SOE will never even consider them because of the way companies are...

1. Phases should last only a max of 2 weeks

2. Novice professions like Novice Reflexes should only cost a max of 10,000 Jedi XP to learn instead of the rediculous 50,000 Jedi XP

3. There should be alternate, non fighting ways to become a Jedi

4. The trip to Jedi Padawan should only take about 5-6 months after becoming Force Sensitive

are you 9?? if not 9, are you 10yrs old? you sound like some of my guitar students. They want to play like Eddie Van Halen..NOW. God forbid you put any work into it, otherwise you might crumple up and blow away.

jedi is SUPPOSED to be hard. I am personally enjoying the pace I set. It has given me time to write a story of what has happened to my toon at the village and what will happen to her in the future. Use the time you have to learn about jedi templates..things BH's do when hunting you..do research, cause your gonna need all the help you can get when you make Jedi.

I respect the rules, If it wasn't restricted in the TOS, I would'ave done it long ago. However I respect that it is against the rules to buy Jedi Characters and to buy Credits. So I don't do it.

I do expect Jedi to be handed to me. I've never seen a game so far from the Star Wars Universe as this one. I can list tons of reasons why it isn't like it, but you all already know.

I only think BH's should be allowed to hunt people who have killed X amount of Stormtroopers, Rebel Soldiers, etc...

Higher ranking faction members can put bounties on members of another faction that have a rank above x rank.

However Jedi's shouldn't be hunted... Look at ANH, Ben sliced a guys hand off in front of tons of people in the cantina, did any1 care or did any1 place a bounty on his head? no.

Also, People who live in your same city, are in the same guild, etc... Shouldn't be able to give a Jedi visibility, look at Luke... The rebels and his friends never had a BH hunt for him.

Heck, if you know your Star Wars facts, Luke's clone was made by a Bounty Hunter.

Oh and also if you know your Star Wars facts, there were tons of force sensitive people, especially after the Jedi Purge. In justless thana fewweeks when Luke began searching for possible Jedi candidates, he and Han found 3-4 Force Sensitive people.

If BH's are to search for Jedi, their search should be made even more difficult, nerf BH's so they have a less likely chance of killing Jedi. Also, they can't kill the Jedi until they scan them with one of the devices made during the purge. If they don't scan them and kill them, they don't receive their reward. And Jedi should be allowed to know when they are being scanned.

>>I am someone who would rather have Jedi handed to me w/o even 2 weeks of work. I am used to playing games that at max I can beat in just a matter of weeks, I just don't like the idea of playing this game for months and months NEVER beating it<<

Yoda: "He is impatient."

Obi-Wan: "He will >learn< patience."

It is this hard in order to discourage people from casually picking up Jedi. People like you, actually, people who believe that being Jedi is "beating" the game. This game cannot be "beaten." It is not possible. There is no "end" to this game. If facing the grind discourages you from picking up Jedi, then it has fulfilled one of its purposes.

It also helps prepare you for the concept that you're not going to master Jedi inside of a week, or a month. Up to the Village, getting to a high degree of skill has been easy for you.

Easy, Jedi is not meant to be.

Unfortunately, the way the developers set up this system means that more casual gamers like myself will be taking a long time to get Jedi, while those who are more agressive and able to play for 6-8 hours a day get to Jedi much, much faster.

By the way, it should take you no more than 6 phases to get all the FS skills unlocked, if you a> plan ahead, and b> don't choose to go the "optimal" route of Melee Accuracy, Melee Speed, Melee Defense, Ranged Defense + two other skills. If you do go the "optimal" route, then it will take you 7 phases. And the Village is on a *three* week timer, not a 5-6 week timer.

I honestly feel *every* FS skill box should be unlocked bythe following method:

After unlocking a branch and a tree, and training Novice <FS profession>, Noldan would send you to a mission-giving NPC for one of the FS skills you've unlocked. The very first question this NPC would ask would be whether you want him to teach you all he knows, or if you just want to learn the basics.

If you ask him to teach you all he knows, he gives you missions. Each of those missions would give you 10% of the XP for the FS skill box you're training, andyou can only do onemissionper day. Several of the missions shouldinvolve making a moral choice of some kind that has consequencesduring the mission. When you're done with his missions, you go back to Noldan and train. Noldan then sends you to the next teacher.

If you ask only to learn the basics, you must grind out the XP on your own, taking the "quick and easy path." Again, when you've trained the skill, Noldan would send you to the next teacher.

If you get a game mechanic benefit from a skill in the ground game, you must use skill points to have that skill.

I agree with you about grinding not being fun, and about the needfor alternate, non-fighting ways to "become Jedi," in that there should be quests that grant FS xp and Jedi XP that do not involve fighting. I don't agree with you about reducing the XP required.

As for being "able to kill Squills in 5-10 hits" umm... I don't know if you've ever seen a Lightsaber Master at work, but believe me, MLS puts out a lot of damage in a short period of time. The grind to get to that point is the hardest part of the Jedi grind, but you're not *meant* to be "owning" squills at Novice Lightsaber. Jedi Initiate is the bottom of the Jedi "Profession."

Regarding Bounty Hunters...

Bounty Hunters have been buggedvs. Jedi for a very long time, and only recently has Bounty Hunter been fixed to the point where its "working as Intended."

Unfortunately, Bounty Hunter, at its core, *is* a 'grief' profession, since it is deliberately designed to harass, frustrate, and hinder another player's gameplay. Making matters worse is the attitude, derived from statements made by the developers, that Bounty Hunters are meant to "control" the Jedi population and that any tactic, including exploiting bugs like the permanent TEF andthings that would be grief play against non-Jedi players, is fair.

I have met mature Bounty Hunter players who do *not* have this attitude, but there aren't as many of them and they're not as vocal as the "leet-speaking, trash-talking" PvP-rooolz crowd that is attracted to Bounty Hunter because of its ability to grief.

Bounty Hunter is not, I'm afraid, going to go away, nor is it going to lose its ability to hunt Jedi.

Also, Jedi SHOULDN'T be a challenge. I'm not some1 who like to challenge.

Let me put that another way, you should be able to choose whether it is a challenge or whether it isn't, think of it as a difficulty selection. People who want a challenge can select Hard and people who don't should select Easy. People who want a slight challenge should choose Normal. (as in how it is now)

I'm not an RPGer, I don't like RPG's, I play to have fun. Working hard, having challenges, working for a long time isn't my idea of having fun.

Also, if it is time consuming, it is hard. Like I said, I'm not going to play this game for longer than 6 more months, it isn't fun enough to play longer than that. No game i've ever played has been that fun, not COD, OFP, MOH, Civ III, Civ II, Real War, Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, Doom II, Splinter Cell, 007 Nightfire, Stronghold Crusader, Shogun Total War, Medieval Total War, FS 2002, FS2004,SW Battlefront,Rainbow 6, Halo, Halo 2, DoD, AoM, Galactic Battlegrounds, Age of Empires, Simcity 3k, Simcity 4, Majesty, Ghost Recon, 1602 A.D, Swat 3, WWII FS, Combat FS, Empire Earth, Bf1942, WWIIOL, Goldeneye, The Sims, Stronghold, Delta Force... None of them were fun enough to play longer than 6-7 months... There isn't any reason why this game would be more fun than those games... I'm just not as Dedicated as the rest of you are.

Ok buddy if you dont like RPG's then you shouldn't have bought this game in the first place. There are no goals other than those that you set for yourself, but it seems you are to lazy to set goals that may take more than an hour to meet. If you play those game on your list continously for more than 6 months your going to go crazy because they are linear. SWG is the opposite of those games. I do feel that players should be able to put bounties on each other, but they should be required to pay the bounty. Anyway dude, every post you make, makes you seem more and more like a little kid who wants to be Luke Skywalkers best friend.
