Well technically a full temp padawan can *usually* easily beat any other duelist if they have near perfect pearls and a very good saber (coupled with a good template and a very good knowledge of how to use it).

I've always done alot of dueling in this game, and you can bet I will as a jedi too. That's not why I want jedi though. Part of it is for RP, another part is the really nice saber animations (alot of work for just animations, but so what?) and even just as a personal sense of accomplishment.

I'm sure most people have their own personal reasons, but does it really matter? If you really want something and you're willing to spend the time and effort to get it then your reasons are as good as anyone's.
