Thread: REASONS WHY IT IS EASIER TO GRIND FS AFTER CU!!!! yes i mean it

I agree 100% with matrix. Grouped with between 5 - 8 guildmates running rebel terminal missions I was able to cap pistols and carbines xp plus all the combat xp that goes with that in about 3 hours. Even without the double xp this is certainly still pretty dam fast. Fighting solo shouldn't be easy but it is still possiable, the xp is a lot slower but if it was just as fast as grouping than why group? Before the CU I hardly ever grouped becuase I actually thought I earned less xp doing so. The new system is much fairer and inline with what a multi-player game should be.
I don't argue that the XP gain while grouped shouldn't be better than playing solo, but I shouldn't be forced to into group play simply to gain a reasonable amount of XP. I'm not asking for the same XP gain rate for both play styles. There is, and should be, a better reward for grouping. But the rate of XP gain in solo play makes it near impossible to advance one's character in any reasonable amount of time once the high-end levels of play are reached, such as the Force-Sensetive to Jedi track. This hurts the casual gamer (1-3hrs/day) the most. Group play requires a certain amount of time commitment that I don't regularly have. Thus, because the solo game is so slow, there is little I can accomplish in a reasonable enough amount of time to justify the effort. All I think is needed is some balance between group and solo playstyles.
i am a 71lvl mpistol/smuggler/bh, and i can easily complete rancor bull missions ( lvl 72 ) and other missions whose lvl is higher then mine.
Soloing is still possible and worth of it, even if grouping is better.

I've been supporting this time and time again that solo'ing should be more accessible, but the more I read these forums, the more I think nothing should change.
There was one and only one reason why I didn't group before CU. I'm on the FS grind and I need all the xp I can get. If someone else is there, they're just in my way taking up xp that I need. Now that we all get full xp as long as you hit it, that is no longer an issue. The reason why I don't think things should change for solo'ers is because if solo'ing was easier, then we'd be right back where we started. Maybe not to the same extent, but close. For instance, if Jedi could solo, then that would take about 80% of the people I group with back into the forests by themselves to avoid visibility and I'm screwed.
What I believe that needs to be fixed is allowing people in the same group of a Jedi to be able to defend against the BH's coming after him. Jedi's are paying for it big time with the increased visibility and BH's are now growing off trees due to the respec. BH's are already ganging up on Jedi's, so let's make it an even fight. The BH terminals can list if the Jedi is currently grouped, with how many people, and their rewards would increase the larger the group that the Jedi is in if they kill the Jedi.
